First through the QM was the GT-R. However its trap speed was slower than the 2nd through 6th placers. I wonder how it launches so hard. The 3rd placer, the R8 is also AWD.

It can put its power to the ground better than those cars it beat in the quarter. The GTR is known for its ability to do that.

All I know is I took a ride in a friends last year on E85 tuned up into the 800hp range.

Absolutely bonkers. The launches were insane and it's the only time I've been in a car that rivaled the feeling of a 1000cc sport bike from 60-130+

because #ALLTHETHINGS

I mean really: everything in that car was designed with the intent of putting power down and getting the car to stick as well as possible. That's why its so heavy.

Take a look at the drivetrain pictures from one of those bad boys. It will make sense

Watching the GT-Rs during One Lap of America pull themselves up "The Bitch" @ Hallett is one of the most impressive things I've seen in motorsports.
