I was just looking at the site and there is a guy that did his timing belt, messed it up and now is dead set on rebuilding his engine. He is dead set on changing out the pistos and not just using a thinner head gasket or shaving the heads. People are funny sometimes. But, I went there first, and from there I found out about you guys over here. I was reading posts, and very few people have any idea what they are talking about over there, and those people are the ones from over here. You guys really know your **** here. I can work the hell out of a small block chevy, but these little motors over here are a totally different beast. I can admit that I do not know that much about FI and these engines, but I am learning, and I have you guys to thank for it. Braineak, you are the guy that made me go FI with my car, and I am currently waiting on my **** to get here. But anyways, you guys rock here.

I have a problem of doing that!

there are guys over there that know their **** too, just a higher ratios of know-it-alls. But for the most part you'll find the wine & cheesers, newbs, ricers, and gearheads.

I never admit I know everything, but I try to learn everything I possible can and understand exactly what it is I'm doing and help everyone else out with what I've come to grips with. I seriously read a chapter of Maximum Boost a night and try to understand it. I go back and reread it all the time. I'm still learning, but I know my way around boosting a miata for the most part. Heck, I know nothing about engine management, that's why I only mention it in my FAQ.

I wasn't saying that no one over there knows anything, just that a majority of the people that do, come from this site. My apologies for offending you in any way.

loosen up steve and VTA your pcv. comeon guys lets hit 50,000 by saturday. m.net has alot of wine and cheesers. i look at it as m.net is wallmart for miatas and we are autozone the guys over in the walmart car section might know how to do some **** but more likely you get an old man who could barely change his oil at anytime in his life and at autozone you have 3-4 guys that work there for a job and the discount on parts as in they know what to get and how to put it in and sometimes how to use it. actualy finding alot of the stuff you will need for an FI miata at autozone is challenging to say the least though. so we both have our limitations

LS1GTO.com is the WORST sponsor sackrider forum.

if they're not a sponsor, you can't discuss it.
if they ARE a sponsor, their product is the best, newest, cheapest, longest lasting, shiniest etc even if it isn't.

Boy I get tired of getting shitty product forced on me because they pay the webmaster 150 bucks a month while a better product goes by that I don't know about because they don't pay up.

they have to be turning a hell of a profit over there. bunch of ******. (yes I've been banned many, MANY times :gay: )

just like your groupbuy, you could have benefited maybe 20 or 30 guys over there and saved them some money but you can't post it because you're not a ******* sponsor?

devil's own IS a sponsor, and they wouldn't let you sell their product?

What a crock of ******* ****. Not at all out for the community, strictly out to line their pockets.

Have you hit up the other ls1 sites like ls1lt1, camaroz28 (this one has a lot of good vendors there). I got my heads and cam through them for my camaro for a real good deal. A lot of the head porters and stuff hang out there. If I can recommend a good head porter for those cars, it would be lloyd elliot. Very impressive heads, when I got them, they looked like I should have framed them, not put them on an engine.

It was $1700 for the heads and the cam. Great guy to deal with, very intelligent about what he is talking about. He got almost 300cfm out of my lt1 heads. That is almost unheard of, he can get about 330cfm on a ls1/ls6 head for a very competetive price. And like I said earlier, you don't want to put them on a car because they are so nice. Oh so shiny, and he will also work with you to help you determine what cam is the best for your app.

nice 300 more cfm that is very impressive. you would have to bump the comp numbers considerably or up the displacement quite abit to use it how bout his intake velocity did that go down to much you would think makeing it flow that much would slow it considerably.

It did about as much as you would expect, that is why the extra 38 cubes make up for the loss of velocity, I had 430 ft-lbs at just 1600 rpm, now that is a rear end eater. I just chewed threw my first stock rear and got a replacement stocker for free from a friend.

If I put it on slicks with another junk rear end, it will just tear this one up. If I control wheelspin, probably about 5secs. At the terrible quater mile track here on oahu, I ran a 12.1@126mph. There is so much time left on the table out here because I was spinning still spinning the rears when I gunned it in 3rd gear. They shut down the track out here, so there is nothing but autocross now. Miata=only thing that is left to do on this island.

Cool, traction limited 2.1 60ft, very shitty track out here, but there was also fear of killing the factory 10 bolt rearend. With slicks, I could get down to probably mid 11's. Just not enough traction.
