Default The gas thread.

What's everyone use and why?

Me, I buy mostly from BP, but sometimes from Chevron or Shell. Always 93, of course.

i always end up buying mobil because it's very convenient for me but i feel bad about it since they're a middle east company. I believe the sunoco is not but it's not convenient for me at all. I could be wrong on these it's been a while since i researched it

I will go to BP, or Chevron. I used to go to Shell but now they only carry 92 octane so I just stick with whoever will give me my 93. I will also visit Sunoco for their 94 octane but there is only one Sunoco around here.

Shell usually, but thats because its right up the street. But within like 2-4 miles I have about every gas station I could ever want to choose from.

We have 109.5 turbo blue and Sunoco 110 here. Both about 4.50-5.00 a gallon.

If it's going on the credit card I get shell because it's their card and I get a rebate... otherwise I take whatever is cheapest. 87 octane of course

Choices are real limited out here on the islands and the gas is expensive if you aren't military. The military get's the gas from basically 7eleven, have no idea, but I use it because it does not cost an arm and a leg to fill up.

Doesn't the E give you a bump in octane?

Haven't even checked, and lately traffic has been real shitty out that way. I live right by Pearl Harbor.

BP because it's close to the house. I try to stay away from Citgo.

Yeah, a little, but it also hurts your mileage and can't be good for the rubber parts of the fuel system.

And finally someone says it besides me in a public place... my school has been doing tons of stuff with ethanol and hydrogen fuel cells. Everytime I present the facts and figured to inform one of the departments brainwashed students of the error in their ways I get avoided for weeks by the student(s) and their profs.
