I've seen it back home on car's like that. I've never had it happen though because on long trip's I get out and kick the ice off if I know I'm having a problem. I also always drive a 4WD truck/suv back home so that's never a problem. We have a few gas fired space heaters though that put out great enough heat that someone could fix that problem quickly.

it was funny because me and him went slidin in the ice earlier today and he kept getting stuck in the stupidest spots and i was just cruisin along on my all-season tires
