Shop Vacuum recommendations
Looking into vacuums like Shop Vac, Ridgid, Craftsman etc. What do you guys use and would buy again? I looked at reviews and they are very mixed.

Obviously, Shop Vac is the best.
But i own a Craftsman, and we've got 4 or 5 of them at work and they work just fine.
I think build quality on the Shop Vac is best.

Get the one that fits the most attachments that are readily available--including the 1-1/4 hose adapter. Usually that's the 2-1/2 hose version. also get the one that has the easiest to get filters.

Our craftsman is over 26 years old (my dad bought it before I was born) and other than one of the bearings screaming bloody murder when you turn it off, it has always worked.
The bearing has been screaming for the last 6 years, and only during spin down. We will replace it when it stops working.

Not all shop vacuums are created equal. I had a cheaper rigid that couldn't lift a paper towel off the floor. I also had the most expensive rigid and it was great. Would run for hours continuously and rarely lose suction.
I have a big shop vac brand I bought on close out at lowes. Works great. It was like $80 and half off the original price.
However, I bought this for work and it is very powerful and the small size means I clean up more often and have it around the lab. Buy this.
