Default Good deal on STRI gauges found.

As found on NABISCO...

STRI gauges.

About halfway down the first post, best prices I've seen on these anywhere... and the place selling them was starting to go the Vivid Motorsport route (i.e. big prices). I'm probably going to get the boost and EGT gauges, they seem to have the same quality connectors as the Omori gauges I was going to get.

can you see them during the day with the top down? I ordered greddy gauges from titan on 10/5, but they have not shipped, don't answer the phone, and don't answer email...so I'm going to call the credit card company about it tomorrow.

Here is a photo of one, though not in daylight.

I imagine they're not much harder than any other smoke lensed gauge. If I'm not mistaken they also offer it in a non-smoked lense which would be much easier to see in daylight. You could also mount them with a lens hood, not sure if they come with one though. They look bright enough to see imo.

They look incredibly like the prosports that we were looking at earlier this month.

Why is everyone getting the smoked lenses now? On a local forum EVERYONE is buying the Defi smoked gauges. They almost always follow up with a post of how they can't see them in the day time. Is there something about them I'm missing?

It may sell gauges, but I don't really care about some stupid light show when you turn the car on, and all that worthless bullshit aside from indicating measurement.

You need to look closer, they're much brighter than Prosport gauges. Prosport illumination is more like Autometer gauges.

I'm still deciding on these or the Omori's. I have Megan Racing gauges with smoked lenses and while not difficult to see in daylight they're not the best visibility-wise and the EGT gauge took a **** on me.

I really like my Omori's on my WRX, but they're not a smoked lens. The install package on the Omori's are really nice quality, the newer gauges come with wingnuts on the back instead of having to use a dinky socket or pliers on teeny nuts and lockwashes. I liked that. Still, I haven't heard anything bad about STRI gauges and have heard some quality issues with ProSport.

On higher end gauges it's a self calibration. It's worthless on the non-cpu controlled gauges like Autometers (non-Nexus series) and the Defi Blue series.

Im using the prosport installed in the left center air vent, I can see it fine with the top down, using the green lighting.

well they couldn't answer my question in that thread, so I'm sticking with the greddy gauges I ordered.

I like how I asked a specific question about the gauge light shining through with the top down, and they respond with "you can see them."

Tell you what, I'll more than likely order them since they're such a good price and I'll post pics.
