I got two monitors from the dumpster at work. I've been wanting to build a jacobs ladder for a while but there might be something better to build with them. Any ideas?

Huh? I know what that ladder is but not sure how it applies to CRT monitors.

I'm about to throw away two CRT monitors.

CRTs have big fat voltage flyback transformers.

Do the monitors work?

Yes, the monitors work. If they were not screen burned they would be nice (will accept two inputs with a switch on the front). I'm wondering if I can run the transformers in parallel for double the output.

Ive never seen a ladder built from CRT flybacks before.. That'd be kinda neat.

How about a tesla coil? Looking forward to building one of those soon.

Too damn hot to work on it at the moment. It must be 120 degrees in my garage right now.
