Default Burning Man

Yay I am going to burning man next week. Before I do so I will try to sodomize Pen Pen but anyways

as the official forum Burning Man representative, I am here to answer all your questions about the event.

And yes, Burning Man is JUST LIKE 24 HOURS OF LEMONS.

Isn't that just some crazy hippie fest in the desert where everyone does a ton of drugs and brings weird contraptions?

If so, sounds rad.

Check out the summer solstice debauch on St John's Point in Dunkineely.
Not as colorful, but it'll do.

Don't forget the orgies.

Don't get me wrong, on one hand I find it very fascinating and on the other I find it a little ridiculous for grown people to participate in events like this.

One of the primary tenets of the event is "radical self reliance". That =/= hippy. Yes, there is a large quotient of old hippies there. 40% of the attendees are over 40. Many of them are very cool intelligent accomplished people.

if you want to see something spectacular

Last year, at my 30 person camp we had people from 8 different countries. International attendees abound.

Cool people get even cooler with age. There is a huge amount of advanced fabrication and machinery there for art projects. For my own project i have a wooden washington monument that shoots 20 ft green flames out of the tip at night and blows bubbles during the day. It cost us $10,000 to build and we raised all the money for the project.

Yes, true indeed.

One of my other "art projects" for the festival this year is to set up a 20x20 boxing ring. I am bringing gloves mouthguard and bell.

Outmatched contestants will see their opponent havr a hand tied behind back. Or feet tied. Or have to fight on their knees haha. If enough people sign up i will havr a kumate tournament. Each Winner has to wear a Borat style swimsuit.

Im also goin to be giving fighting lessons.

Oh oh oh. And i am camping with Alex Grey. I hope he will fight me.

According to one of my hippie friends:

There are seminars on everything and anything with people both willing to give and receive.

Food and everything necessary for survival is brought with you. I guess what is really cool is how people band together at the end to comb the desert to collect all the trash.

Drugs are also very easy to obtain but he doesnt recommend accepting from people you don't know.

I propose any pics of Fae shirtcocking result in permaban. You know you do it, and nobody wants to see it.

I feel like I'd need to constantly be high to enjoy this event at all. Which is why I don't go.
