I actually enjoy the silly posts. I do have a problem with the blind protection of your sponsor importing copied flares and then calling me a peepee head because I'd rather buy the American copies. I think it's ok to be an individual and the slammage dudes have their protected thread but when they venture out into open waters (rest of the forum) then it should be fair game to call them retards and such.

I do like that even the ricers get something right every once and a while and make something that could make the car faster. Just as a test so you can see the amount of douche on the board, I'm going to post a thread of real miata's that race...lets see what happens.

Think about this for a sec. 600+ replies to that Raceland thread. SIX. HUNDRED!!! I doubt very seriously that most of them will ever late apex or use a burnout box.

The popularity of those ******* racelands really drives me batshit.

Hey I bought racelands because I had to get on track and the blown stock suspension wasn't happening, I traded them for Bilsteins but thats beside the point. I could care less about those, at least they are better than stock. I laugh at the 15x8 sportmaxx 0offset with a 185 tire, .5 inch off the ground, stance coilover with pieces taken off for the slam, cracked oilpans etc.

oops what happened?

if I had a nickel for every user I wanted to ban... it would be an empty forum and my couch would be way too heavy.

Who gives a ****, ban him anyway. He has contributed nothing useful to any forum and has made threats for absolutely no reason.

Heya all,

No need to introduce me as I did it years ago when I opened my account here.

I know there's a lot of hate about the flares reproduction and whatnot.

There's so many thing to discuss that I'll just start with what I think of and you can comment on **** I said.

First of all, you can say whatever you want against CR.net but guy open your ******* mind. There are turbo guys, there are supercharger guys, there are naturally aspirated guys. More "stance suspension and sportmax" guys hangs at CR.net. More 6UL guys hangs on there. Hey, it's just common sence not to arrive like this:

at a black people reunion...

For the knock off part. You guys seem not to care at all. Why is TRUST going bankrupt ? Probably not because of people did knock off of all their lineup and now they don't have enough funds to do R&D anymore.

Let me show you some things that could just happen anytime soon if we continue like that. Harris stuff are going to get bought by a guy. That guy will send his parts to Mexico. Then they will come back at $100 less and that one guy will make money off Harris work (as I see he was making a hood). How would you feel about that ?

How about Emilio's 6UL being copied and sold for $380 a set shipped ? I'm sure that would affect the **** out of his business and he would probably not release any new wheels models as his money would have been gone to a guy in his basement that shipped one of his wheels to a Chineese factory.

Hey, I'm not telling anyone here how to act or react. I know many of you hates me because I sell JDM parts over expensive and make a million dollars off your asses. This is not the case... the parts are just expensive to begin with and they ship from the other side of the world.

Again, I'm not telling anyone how they should spend their hard earned cash. I know many of you can't justify spend $700 on a set of flares or $2000 on a set of wheels. Everyone has his budgets and chose if he wants the quality, the quantity or the exclusivity. No need to comment on that last sentence, people are like that, we're not communists.

Where I'm going at is GUYS, the industry is falling under counterfeit products and the new and hot parts are rare to come across. Instead of encouraging a guy that just bought a piece and made a mold of it, why don't you guys buy parts from people like Mike @ Autokonexion ? This guy is from USA, he works his *** off to develop JDM inspired parts and very original products. You don't have to wait neither. The quality is there AND you're helping the industry.

Oh well, I'm not a dictator, but guys, do whatever you want but instead of coping ****, just inspire yourself or improve the product. By improving the product I'm not talking about changing the material.

I know you guys will probably bitch the **** out of this post, have fun doing it, I'll try to come back and read the replies. I don't have time to argue, so I'll just read your stuff.

From the guy that brings the cool **** to the US,

-Max

***EDIT*** God damn I'm a '06

***EDIT 2*** Please stop the false marketing advertisement. 6 months wait ??? Usually the part is in stock in Japan and arrives in 3 to 5 days at the customer's home. It's called air shipping.

You know, it's not because I sell stuff that are expensive that I make more money. The guy that sells the cheap stuff that his cost is lower makes the money. Try to find who's got the best profit margin between the guy selling sportmaxes and the one selling volk racing wheels...

Oh well that's not the subject, so let's keep it on track.

IF you actually cared to READ the thread before posting...

You'd realize that the whole point is that rharris is making ZERO profit on those parts.

I can understand everyone getting uppity about someone just knocking off a part for profit. But you guys are going nuts without even knowing the back-story.

Robert (rharris19) does nothing more than do whatever he can to help out his Miata racing buddies. Recently that group has extended from his immediate friends to the guys on the forum as well, and that help has turned from picking up and storing cheap beaters for back-up track parts to making a few parts for the track crew AT COST.

The first part he made was a hood he developed similar to the Mini scoop several members had bolted to their hood. He fully integrated the scoop (I watched him smoothing it out by hand), and then made a 'glass copy.

Also note that this works out for him since he runs a fiberglass shop. He decided it would be a really good idea to make some parts we wanted in order to keep his guys in a job whenever things slowed down. Remember that we are in tough times and too many good people are losing their jobs. I know those 4 guys in his shop have families, and I commend his efforts to keep them busy. It's also kind of neat when you can combine your work and your hobby in a productive way.

I honestly have no problem with him making a copy of an overpriced flare as long as he's not looking to PROFIT. The folks that are buying them at this price would never even consider paying for the full priced ones, so what's the loss? He did the work it takes to ensure a decent fitting copy, and that's all he was asked to be compensated for.

As a character witness I'll say you won't find a more stand-up guy than Robert. I met him after a scammer sold us both the same parts, but only shipped them to one of us. He saw that I was in need and GAVE me the parts, taking the weight of the scam on himself.

Turned out after we met we went to the same school and had a lot in common. Every time I've gone down there to visit he's been nothing short of welcoming and helpful to myself and his other Miata buddies.

We're not talking about some shady knockoff king trying to make money on someone elses idea. We're talking about a guy trying to keep his employees busy by offering at-cost copies for his racing buddies. It's just a functional part you bolt onto your car, made affordable here in Texas.
