Default Guy builds his own functional DCT (now 40% awesomer)

... thus ensuring that no woman will ever speak to him for more than 12 seconds.

Computer Controlled DSG Transmission - The South East London Meccano Club

Neat stuff though, for those who are into intricate little things.

I thought my air-engine was cool, it looks like a piece of trash compared to this. Awesome.

This one's a real oldie, and a repost, but it proves that there is absolutely nothing that any other human being can ever do to be The Best model maker.

^^^ I can not believe what I just saw. That is one of the most awesome things I've ever seen. Well... other than personally witnessing Hustlers mom working the Dallas Maverick's tour bus.

Actually, my neice has a little battery-powered car which is about the same size as that Ferrari. What's interesting about this car is that it has two modes of operation; it can be controlled locally from the drivers' seat, or it can be controlled remotely by the parent, using an R/C car-style device.

R/C, anyone?

I'd rather see a monkey drive it.

I was in college, needed the money, and feeling experimental. Everyone was doing it. I didn't swallow!

Is that wrong?

That is just absolutely nuts.

And it gets weirder...

A miniature supercharged V8:

(he revs it a few times. Amazing noise...)

More supercharged V8 goodness:

Possibly the best sound I have ever heard in my life:

A mini V12:

Some video from the construction of the V12:

A naturally aspirated V8, this one is almost microscopic:

An even smaller I4:

A 14 cyl radial RC airplane engine:

What it comes down to, basically, is that people have too much free time on their hands.
