Ah, so YOU had to blow the guy on the truck?

If you are getting a serious fetish about all things tool, check out www.garagejournal.com/forum. It's miata.net-ish, but good information thrown in as well.

I got it for pretty cheap too. (Not sure how much, but with a 10mm-19mm 10 pc set, I spend 200 bucks)

I love it, not sure what I like more though, the ratchet or the sockets that can take off a rounded bolt. (Mac-Tite I think they are called?)

Its all really comfy, the ergonomics are improved. Its the only 1/2'' Ratchet I use anymore.

cool, thanks. yeah my new 3/8 and 1/2 sets are both MAC. and they're huge sets, I'm pretty happy with them. still need various odds n ends, but my 'basic' tool set is nearing completion. operation replace crapsman with good shizzle is nearly over.

I had 1/4" and 3/8" gearless ratchet from sale table at O'Reilly's or some similar place. $30 for both.
They are extremely nice, so nice that 1/4" one was loaned without return.
That 2 degrees helps in tight places.

hrk (only cheap, not desirable stuff should be taken to the track)

are they worth it?
Durable?

I've broken so many craftsman ratchets. I keep thinking i got a bad batch, but they keep breaking.

I don't know yet; won't receive it for a few days. But the 2 MAC ratchets I already own are far superior to any craftsman I've owned or used. That's why I just got both this 1/2 gearless as well as another MAC 3/8 gear ratchet. Proto ratchets are the same/similar as MAC, and also pretty good.
