Default Question: What is the value of friendship?

I have a bit of a long drawn out reason for posting this question, but before really bothering I'm wondering what your thoughts on the question are.

Might make quick mention, if you're the 'topic' of this thread don't even bother posting in it- You know who you are.

smells like passive aggressive.

if you have to question it, it's already time to move on.

There is only one metric for determining a true friendship.

You call, he shows.

It doesn't matter the circumstances, the need, the place, the cost, the time involved, how long you've known him, how far away you are... it doesn't matter. You call, he shows.

If you are in jail down in Ensenada and the judge wants $5k cash for bail... the guy you call in the middle of the night and drives 10hrs down there no questions asked and forks over the money is someone you have a friendship with. Most guys have lots of friends... but very few true friendships.

**** that ****. Being a friend doesn't mean being the crutch for some **** up. Or the crutch for someone's **** ups. People need to own their **** and not be bitches and in a circle jerk pity party.

I value our friendship at about a 7 on a 1 to 5 scale.

I must not have any friends worth bail money. I'd bail out my wife though.

Though Braineack did say he was excited to finally repay my helping him (doing my clutch) and I had forgotten there was even a debt owed. I guess that's cool.

A great friend would be sitting next to you in jail saying, "man, we f#cked up."

The value of friendship is in the ability to share an experience with someone. One can share all sorts of experiences, from a concert, to a hobby. Conversation is also a shared experience.

I guess that the value of a particular friendship is therefore how much you enjoy / appreciate your shared experience with that person.
