I used to work at PETCO. The Anoles were a PITA because they were decently quick and loved to try and escape any time we removed one or put in food.
+1 on movement to stimulate feeding. Meal worms will be OK, but you need to make sure they are nice and twitchy before you put them in, and put them in right in front of the lizard or they just burrow down and emerge as beetles later.
Leopards are great, they look cool, they are fun to handle, they are cheap to maintain, and they do well in general. Mine just died a few months ago, after 8 years and 6 moves.
For some real fun take a look at Tokay Geckos. Nasty mean, very active. Do not hold one.

I have a tokay and after two weeks of 20mins a day of handling, shes finally tame. No barking, no biting
