Default Spilled oil in the wifes car, help me clean it.

I left a quart of oil in the back of my wifes civic. It leaked out and soaked into that funky carpet. What is the best way to clean that up? Soak it up with HI DRI then vacuum? Tuff stuff? Any one with experience cleaning up retarded *** messes, please chime in.

You may be replacing carpet if your wife isn't at least somewhat forgiving, cleaning up oil sucks on smooth non-porous surfaces, let alone something like carpet.

Take it to the dry cleaners and ask them. Either that or any cheap *** used car lot. They deal with **** like that on a daily basis.

Don't bother cleaning it... you'll never get all of it out, it'll smell like oil forever, especially in the summer when it's 130* inside the car.

It'll take you less time to simply replace the entire interior carpet than to try and clean it. Let her pick the color:
Honda Civic Carpet Replacement Kit
Honda Civic Carpet--Xtreme and OEM Colors

If you have to clean it. Soak up the wet stuff. Spread Tide laundry detergent soak into it and then take to HIGH pressure car wash. Lay on ground and Spray the **** out. Let dry for 2 days , should come out acceptable.
