Dammit! Had the wife take the Sentra in after hearing a suspicious clunk over bumps and while cornering.

New lower control arms and sway bar end links to the tune of $1000. Nothing to do but pay up.

why in the world would you need new control arms?

I'm sure it's only the sway bar end links, my altima had the same issue; I had to replace both.

this is a $50 fix. $950 of it is just the service department making payroll since your wife is an easy target.

Maybe you can't replace the ball joint in the lower control arms on a Sentra?

(No idea)

Because the LCA's on Sentras suck and tend to crack around the bolts.

Wait are you trying to say that a Sentra could have different problems then Braineacks Altima, that is just crazy talk

I'm sure his experience extends to every car ever.

In any case, I'm kind of stuck. I sold the truck and haven't found anything else for a daily driver yet, so I threw the interior back together in the smelly Miata and have been driving that. If we had a spare car, I'd consider doing the LCA replacement myself, but I can't afford to be a 1-car family for 2 or 3 days.

Renting a car for a week would still be cheaper.......

Tonight on TCM:

8:00est Le Mans
10:00est Grand Prix

Both offer awesome vintage racing and lame vintage romance in one movie!

I have rented a few cars over the past few years. With my USAA 25% discount at Hertz I can usually get a compact car for less then $25 a day. I have honestly been very surprised by how cheap it cost.

priceline/hotwire a rental car and you win even bigger. when we go to LA, we usually get bids accepted for $15/day and then upgrade to a prius for 5 more to save gas.

Yeah, dropping off at different location always screws you.

When I was in Boston in December, it cost an extra $125 to drop the car off in Cambridge vs taking it back to Logan.

Did you know that there is no port of the original 1991 videogame Lemmings available for the Android platform?

Seriously? This was one of the first great point-and-click puzzle games. It helped to define an entire era in casual gaming, with simple, addictive gameplay supported by cute yet rudimentary graphics and sound. How can this masterpiece of entertainment be lost to history?

Now that SCE Studio Liverpool (the successor to Psygnosis) is defunct, and the intellectual property associated with the original Lemmings title falls essentially into the category of abandonware, I demand that this classic be resurrected for the modern handheld / mobile platform, and that said recreation be based upon the original 1991 Commodore Amiga release, and not any of the vastly inferior subsequent ports.

Just buy a Miata instead of renting!

why don't you do it yourself and charge 99 cents for the app? you'll make tons off the lemmings.

Just make it free and charge $1 for 100-packs of Lemmings. herp-derp.
