Not $36/month. $36 total. Turning 25 is pretty sweet.
Reminds me when I turned 25 when I had my R6.

My monthly insurance went from $105/month to $9/month.

Spent the day in the office and got my 941's, 940, UC-2, W2's & W3 done!!!

What a ******* relief Only halfway through the paperwork, but once this is done I can get back out on jobs.

Now, I'm drunk.

Saw the 941 and initially thought you were talking about my area code.

I found a 94 that runs for $1200. I am thinking of offering them $1000 for it and buying it. Would be miata #6. One for each cat I have, I think that is a good way to do things. Have to have the same number of cats as miatas.

Using this logic, I need another cat.

All MT members should have the maximum number of cats possible.

Perfect logic, time to go cat shopping tonight.

I think the legal limit is 12 cats in SC. At least that is what the people at the shelter told me. I think they just did not want me adopting all the cats.

I cannot help but wonder what event caused the state of SC to have to enact legislation setting a cat cap in the first place.

Well I did some searching, it appears that SC does not have any limits on the number of cats you can own. It would be local ordinances that would cover it. Time to start looking at what it says in my county.

This is often shelter policy and not state or local law related. Shelters try to prevent hoarding, neglect, and other animal abuse by limiting the number of cats/animal someone can have at one time or adopt over a certain period.

Source: volunteered many hours at the local no kill shelter.

I asked wife to get another cat this weekend and she refused. Is this valid grounds for divorce?

Did she say you couldn't get another Miata?

Mine has me on the one in, one out policy. Vehicles, not cats

No desire for another Miata. Unless it was already boosted and in better shape. Can only drive one at a time.

I'd have 4 or 5 cats if she'd let me.

What's up with the east coast shutting down? It's not that much snow.
I understand NYC, they have no where to put it. But they shut down the subway, i thought that was underground. Does it snow underground in NYC?

You'd think that, but actually they just scoop it up into trucks and then dump it into the rivers. Quite convenient.

Not usually.

The problem with the subway system is that it only runs underground in Manhattan and a few areas in Queens and Brooklyn. Aside from that, most of it runs elevated. So there's concern about the switching and signalling infrastructure, which is one reason to shut it down. Another is that they have parked all of the trains underground on the tracks inside Manhattan, so that when they decide to turn the system back on, the trains are already warm, dry, and don't need to be shoveled out.

Same goes for the PATH trains between Manhattan and NJ. They run underground only as far as Hoboken, then go above ground for the trip out to Newark.

The storm wasn't nearly as bad here as some had feared. I spent the night in Manhattan, and this morning on my way into work it was slushy as hell, but we got well under a foot of snow. I'm sure the trains will be back up shortly. This is the view looking south down 2nd Ave from 43rd St:

The traffic ban is still in effect, but the emergency vehicles seem to be getting around ok.

EDIT: they just lifted the traffic ban everywhere except for eastern Long Island.
