I do. I still recite the pledge of allegiance every morning. Except I purposefully leave out god.

I don't think they even say it at all in schools anymore, nor do they teach them the National Anthem.

I remember some one tried a few years ago, read here. Either way, I haven't said the under god part of the pledge since I was in the 6th grade.

From your description, sounds a bit like "The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook", except that they didn't use a fancy font for the title.

I have trouble keeping a straight face everytime a black person says "axe" instead of "ask".

atheists are annoying

WHHHAAAA I don't believe in religion, I hold myself to a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, and a moral code governing the conduct of my affairs.

I want to abolish all religions and insert my way of life as the standard of all conduct.

I am the Pot calling the Kettle black.

Too "serious"? Dammit, I'm going to haveto haul my *** over to B&N. The book in question was basically saying that the human race is going to die eventually and various scenarios from robots to super astroids, supercanes (super hurricanes) to nano-goo were various methods.

What are you talking about? I'm still a member of Key West United Methodist, I enjoy surrounding myself with good people. I just don't believe in god. It's really not that big of a deal. I don't have anything against religion.
