Ha ha, no it's an eye disease. It's quite common in people who are... older, but anyone can get it. I've got a minor case caused by prolonged use of contact lenses (about 14 hours a day for 6-7 years). My ophthalmologist lectured me on the apparent 'dangers' of wearing them. WTF?

PRK is the ****, took ~30 seconds on each eye, I felt nothing and can see better now than with my glasses/contacts before. My vision was bad enough that the big *** E at the top of the eye chart was beyond blurry.

So, apparently you cannot buy higher wattage light tungsten light bulbs (120 watt R40) anymore because some bureaucrat deemed my lifestyle of consuming energy in exchange for brilliant light in my bathroom is wrong...and that he deemed alternative bulbs like florescent (which contain Mercury) good because I'm too stupid to make choices myself on what type of lightbulb I want to use. God forbid I want more than 500 lumens. Wasted an entire Sunday trying to find the bulbs I used to buy at a few different stores to get learned that it's illegal now.

I can't wait to buy a Volt, get a $7K Gov't subsidy, and keep that mother ****** plugged in all day and night.

If you live anywhere near a Government building (you're in NOVA I'd find it hard to believe you if you said you don't) invest in a few extension cords.

Yeah, I was looking into correction surgery (namely laser). My eyesight is past -6 in both eyes. The E may be blurry to you, but I can't read anything that is more than 5 or 6 inches in front of me unless the print is about 1" tall. ******* sucks.

I need to get Clinton and Gore up there to put a stop to your environmental crimes. Or I need to get GE to lobby the Gov't so it in turn pass laws in order to benefit them and use the gov't to unfairly meddle in the economy and free market and false create a demand for shitty lightbulbs. Here in the US that doesn't happen cause Obama put a stop to that.

Remember kids: Corporate crime is okay so long as they are contributing to your campaign and not the GOP's.

Neighbors, no one loves you like he loves you,
And no one cares like he cares.
Neighbors, let us join today in the holy love of God and money,
Because neighbors, no one loves you like He loves you.
And what better way to show your love than to dig deep into your pockets.
Dig real deep, until it hurts. Alleviate your guilt,
Free yourself once again, because he gave to you, brothers and sisters.
Please give a 10, 25, or 50 dollar tax-deductible donation,
And I assure you your modest pledge will be used to censor TV and radio,
Ban questionable books, and contribute to many other Godly services.
No longer will young Christian Americans hedonistically indulge
In masochistic submission to rhythmic music, for with your monetary support,
There is no end to what we can achieve in this country.
The voice of God is government. The voice of God is government.
The voice of God is government. In God we trust, sinners repent!

Can't you see what we believe in, all our thoughts, all our reasons,
Pursuit of life and liberty and happiness we cannot see?
Speak of truth with a mighty voice, but politics are your real choice.
Hire men to change the law, protect and serve with one small flaw.
Voice of God is government. The voice of God is government.
Voice of God is government. In God we trust, sinners repent!
If we shun God and Jesus Christ, religious love is sacrifice.
Love for God is shown in cash, the love they send is mailbox trash.
With every pamphlet we receive, more money asked for Godly needs.
Build a million dollar church, with money spent on God's research.
Voice of God is government. The voice of God is government.
Voice of God is government. In God we trust, sinners repent!
On late night TV, God can heal, a certain force you cannot feel.
Love for money in God's name, religion's now a TV game!
Build a million dollar church, with money spent on God's research.
Build a million dollar church, with money spent on God's research.
Voice of God is government. The voice of God is government.
Voice of God is government. In God we trust, sinners repent!
Yeah!
Voice of God is government. The voice of God is government.
Voice of God is government. In God we trust, sinners repent!

i ended up with some r40 style halogens, while only 70watt, they still output 1280 lumens...not quite the 1550 lumens I was used to before and a little more expensive, but it works.

I first bought some "120watt" equivalent cool-blue florescent bulbs and it was retardedly dim, and they were literally a blue color when lit, it looked like party bulbs. only put out 900 lumens, which is the equivalent to a 75watt bulb in that size, so that's just plain false advertising.

I mean, how hard is it to get a florescent bulb to output 50K on the spectrum without having to tint the glass blue...failboat.

Word. I bought some of those stupid lights and didn't even read the Blue thing on the box. They look identical except emit some shitty, Sky Blue light that makes you strain your eyes to see and you just end up with shitty lighting and a headache.

I've always been suspect of the "government mandated" switch to digital....I really want to know why they feel the need to have the analog signals and what they plan to do with it. Elighten me as to what your ideas are?

i dont even care what they use it for. digital signals are ******* weak as ****. Comcast compresses it's video beyond belief. I can't even watch Tim Gunn on Bravo because that channel obviously cares little about quality and sells out it's bandwidth for other channels to use. I'm tired of seeing video compression noise, having the sound not sync the video, seriously if I wanted to watch **** this **** poor I'd watch **** on youtube through an s-video connection to my TV.

Hell, you cant even turn on a tv without it booting up for 15 minutes then switching channels is like submitting a written request before the action become approved and the new channel finally loads up.

But no, we had to force companies that weren't ready to make the switch to go to china for shitty circuits and TVs that are **** poor in quality. Notice how companies like Vizo, Sanyo, coby, memorex, dynex, insignia, etc. all have flooded the market. Just cheap ****, if the free market had been given a chance, digital tvs would have eventually become the standard, the better technology would become cheaper and better due to competition and we wouldn't have to spend tax payer money on handing out antenna so poor folks could continue to watch Jerry Springer and Oprah while they continue to not have a job...

The only reason I hate digital TV is because instead of being a little bit blury it just cuts out completely. I live in the middle of nowhere so some channels are like trying to watch HD videos on a 56k connection.

yes, exactly, it's ******* weak and they act like we are all too dumb to notice, luckily I complain heavily and have now reduce my $120mo bill to $70mo. for the next year I'd get Fios today, but it's not available in my area.

and where exactly does congress have the authority to meddle in Baseball?

Wow, so much hatred for digital TV. I just watch everything online, since I have stellar interwebz and a 52" monitor. Screw TV. If I'm going to pay for something as shitty as TV service then I expect to be able to watch what I want, when I want. Not wait for 3 hours for a show on NG about the ingenuity of apes.
