Playing the game "get your money" with people is starting to really **** me off. Normally when I sell for people I'm paid the full amount, then I pay the owner of whatever it is I sold. In some circumstances it ends up happening the other way around.

Well, last week I sold a frame machine for a guy and I couldn't be around when the transaction actually went down, so now I have to wait for him to cut me a check. Right before that I sold a 1936 Plymouth for another guy and same deal, only he wont respond to my emails.

The guy with the frame machine will probably take care of me by the weekend, but the other guy is obviously ducking me. Looks like I'll have to go pay him a visit and just show up at his house to catch him off guard. Its too bad cause he has a lot of other stuff I can move for him, but I'm not going to if this is how he takes care of me in return.

Yet another butt raping. Just sold my heads for $240 shipped. Shipping is going to be in the $80-$90 range, so I get a whopping ~$150 for a set of new Ford E7TE heads with aftermarket dual springs and retainers. I need the money now though, so whatever. They came with an engine I only paid $400 for, so the heads alone make up almost half of it.

This isn't your normal skyline. This motherfcker is the skyline God would drive if he wasn't busy doing God sh*t like making tsunamis and crap. Its set up to go fast, and go fast sideways. Who doesn't like to get sideway?! Terrorists, thats who. Are you a terrorist? No? Then you need this car.

Handling? This car handles like a junior executive CEO. Go around corners like the devil himself is chasing you, and not give a fck.

Whats that? You like drifting? Well I've got some great god d@mn news for you. This car was a drift project of mine, and the last owner was planning on making it a drift machine too. Interior is for pussies so we got rid of it. Manly as fck. It literally oozes testosterone. So much so that its puddling up in the back.

Seats? this ******cker has got two. One for you, and one for the hot @ss broad thats gunna be all upons your dick after you buy this car. You're a girl? Sh*t works both ways. One seat for you, and one seat for that hot @ss dude you've been trying to hook up with for weeks. Deal with it,sh*ts getting serious.

Stereos and AC are for hippies. Fortunately this car has neither. Oh look at me, I like listen to Simon and Garfunkel and think about puppies. F*ck that. The only noises you're gunna be hearing is the ultra manly engine noises coming from this sweet turbocharged, intercooled, 24 valve inline 6. Sh*ts getting real, real f*cking fast.

This car has got a bright orange ebrake handle (b*tches love orange) with a drift button for those super ultra megahellatastic bar room brawler ebrake lockers. F*ck. Yes.

Now, I'll be honest. The wheels are a little lackluster, although everyones gunna be so focused on your super gangster drifting that nobody is going to give a f*ck about your sh*tty stock 16s. Don't worry, I've got you fcking covered. Its like we're in Vietnam and you just got ambushed by Charlie. Don't worry, friend, I've got your fcking back and I blow charlie to kingdom fcking come. For an extra $450 I can throw in some added p*ssy magnets for wheels, just don't come crawling back to me complaining that you're getting TOO much vajayjay. Bright fcking green 18s. Greens not your thing? Super legit silver 18s. Done like dinner.

This car has got 1.5 metric f*ck tons of awesome parts. Bride, Greddy, Brembo, the list doesn't f*cking END. It just keeps going and going, like the energizer bunny on speed.

You like going fast? Ever tried to outrun 24 police cars and 3 helicopters? You need this car. It will go so fcking fast that you may very well go back in time. It happened to me once. Just once, but it was fcking rad. Its like someone took a rocket and opened its mouth and poured steroids down its throat and and threatened to kill its family if it wasn't the fastest motherfcker you've ever driven.

I get it. You're busy, I'm busy, lets not waste time. If you're interested send me a message and I'll get back to you ASAP. You send me a message, I send you one right back. Thats how this works.
A skyline for $5K? Rick, it's calling your name.

Dennis Ritchie, father of the Unix operating system and C programming language, has passed away. You think that maybe he was slightly more important to technology than Steve Jobs? I guess milking the herd is more impressive than actually inventing something.

I came down to the shop today to paint and this ************ next door is going to get on my case again?! He's telling me that its taking me too long and that he's going to have some guys come down here to finish it. This is the tenant that's next door to our shop that moved in like 2 months ago.

He started yelling at me in front of his guys and I told him he better relax cause I dont work for him and he's not the one paying me. He mumbled some other **** and walked away. I got loud with him and his guys looked at me like who the **** was I?

I called up the LL and told them that they better get him in line, cause if he's sizing me up for a fight, he's just about got me at that point. I told him that I'm literally 2 seconds away from punching him in the mouth and that I'm sure all his guys will come after me as well. Its almost tempting me to go for it even more.

The LL told me to just try and ignore him and do my thing, that I'm doing fine. He said if I wanted to just pack up and leave that I can do whatever I need to do. He even gave me the OK to get in a fight if need be.

Not sure what to do. I have this thing that when people provoke me I have a tendency to lose it. Last week I put a hole in the bathroom wall down here. I just cant control my hands. Its like they go into automatic hit mode and I start punching anything in my vicinity.

Thanks for that Joe.

I'm a little calmer now, but I've decided to just leave for the day. I have to go pick up this Buddha statue I sold and pack him up for a long trip to Alaska.

Looks like I'll try again tomorrow to get back to painting.

In all honesty, have you considered marijuana? A very low-dose regimen consumed periodically throughout the day might help to take the edge off of these encounters.

Sidebar, the irony in this is biting:
I'm literally 2 seconds away from punching him in the mouth
(...)
Last week I put a hole in the bathroom wall
(...)
I have to go pick up this Buddha statue

Joined, lurked, made an intro thread, lurked some more, picked words in a particular order that led to a temp ban, I'm back!, donated money as atonement, and went back to lurking/searching...

It's not where I thought it would be (1337 Speak) so now I give up... where in the hell is the Slammed Thread?!?

Holy **** I hate eBay sometimes. Listed a couple road bikes on eBay, one of them got 1 bid a few seconds before it ended. I send the invoice. An hour later I get this eBay message:

Hi there! Thank you for offering this bike. I'm sorry to say, however, that my payment is pending, because I'm currently waiting for another bike offering to end, which will happen before the end of the day. If the bid on this other bike exceeds my budget, then I will promptly pay for this bike. Otherwise, I will send you another email kindly requesting that you retract my bid. I'm sorry to put you through this inconvenience, but I figured I'd let you know now instead of later to prevent any conflicts/frustrations.
I sent a reply that basically said, "I'm sorry you chose to bid when you were unsure if you wanted the bike, but your bid is a contract to buy. If you fail to pay the invoiced amount, I'll be forced to report you to eBay."

Of course, he probably knows that me reporting him to eBay will accomplish nothing and he can continue on bidding on items and not paying.

Well at least put in for a non-paying bidder dispute. So at least any feedback he leaves goes away, and he gets a non-paying bidder strike... which doesn't matter anyways. But still.

^^^^^

If someone gets enough non-paying bidder strikes they'll eventually get booted. I'm not positive on the number so don't quote me, but I think its 3 in 12 months. Could be more though.

Make sure you update your "blocked bidder list" with the member's names that are giving you problems, ensuring they will never be able to bid on any of your items again.

Also, keep in mind you can change your automatic bidder requirements in your eBay settings. I keep my standards high and block quite a bit of bidders from my items. For example, you can say that any members with X amount of non-paying bidder strikes cannot bid on my items, etc.

I do my best to prevent the window shoppers from bidding/buying my items if they aren't serious about paying someone before me. Doesn't seem to affect my sales either.
