Roads are for cars, not bicycles.

I get SUPER pissed at the ***** that hog up windy back roads in groups while we're trying to get our trucks to the job.

Get the **** out of the way and go to work, ------s.

Disagree about the pedals somewhat. I have no problem clipping in and out quickly and I like the extra control it gives me when cycling in town. Hopping curbs on a road bike, for example.

Agreed on the fixie thing, though. I tried it a couple times and it's asking for trouble. First time I clipped a pedal going around a corner I nearly freaked out and swerved into traffic. Bought a freewheel and flipped the hub the next day.

I still have the bike, but it's for sale. Don't need a custom framed single speed.

Most of the people riding bikes around here are digging in dumpsters for aluminum cans.

The few on bikes who aren't scrounging for liquor or drug money seem to want all of the laws respecting a car or motorcycle to apply when it suits them, then none of them to apply when that suits them. They blow through stop signs and traffic lights after glancing at the cross traffic to check for an opening. They alternate between traffic lanes, sidewalks, and crosswalks with ease. They know the cops aren't going to bother with them and they will probably be able to sue anybody with a car that hits them. I did actually see a spandex fanatic waiting in the left turn lane at a traffic light the other day, but he was such a rarity that it really stood out to me.

We have a pretty good number of hit-and-run accidents around here against automobiles so I'd hate to ride a bike, moped, scooter, or motorcycle on the public roads for fear of being hit and left to die in a ditch.

I've been an ******* on a bike and in a car. It's as easy both ways as on foot.

As for clips, I can't imagine trying to ride without them. You can only use one leg at a time!

In all seriousness, it feels unsafe to not have my feet attached to the pedals. It's a matter of control. With the ends of my arms and legs fastened securely to the bike it becomes part of my body and I can throw it around, hop over potholes, curbs, broken glass, whatever.

If I can hang on only with my hands and have to depend on gravity to keep my feet on the pedals... no control.

A friend posted this on fb today, and I can't find fault with it.

A federal government that is allowed to determine who can and cannot marry is too powerful. A federal government that decrees that homosexuals cannot marry also has the power to decree that heterosexuals cannot marry. The inverse of this is also true. I see only one--albeit glaring--solution to this problem. For this reason, parties on both sides of the issue, as it is framed, deserve some measure of censure.

Help me out here...

I seem to be going through rear tires like they were made out of cheese.

There's a set of 225-40/16 T1Rs on the car.
Staggering is said to introduce understeer, but would it make a big enough difference in handling if I went with 245-35/16 T1Rs in the back? They are available locally.

Or, what could I do to overcome any potential understeer issues?

The way things are right now, I spin the rears at freeway speeds when I get on the gas.

My personal experience with the T1S was quite disappointing, and I've not heard that the T1R is much better.

I don't know about NT-01, but perhaps something like an R1R (my personal favorite at the moment) or an R-S3 would be in order?

If I am ever given the task of coming up with a catchy street name for an illicit drug, I'm going to name it Pole.
