They're calling for up to 12" in NYC on caturday. We'll see.

Worse, there's already been a run on basic necessities. The liquor store across the street from my apartment was completely out of Jim Beam when I went in last night.

It'll all be rain.

I had a cystoscopy with local anesthesia. Quite an unusual experience. Though no where near as thrilling as the colonoscopy with no anesthesia.

Come on, Joe. You deserve to drink good whiskey once in a while. A middling snowstorm is reason enough.

The way everybody lays in huge supplies of bread, milk, toilet paper, water, etc. every time it looks like the forecast isn't optimal, you'd think it was the 18th century and they're preparing for a long winter.

And I do have a few decent bottles on hand at all times. Generally new stuff I've never tried before

But, to be honest, I find that after two drinks it becomes difficult to discern $60 whiskey from $30 whiskey. So for the sake of economy, I also keep the bottom shelf stocked for when it's appropriate.

FWIW - my favorite mid-shelf whiskey lately is The Green Spot - a single-pot-still Irish whiskey. Worth a try, and light-years better than Jameson.

Relevant: A guy at a bar was chatting me up a few weeks ago. Some tattoo'd douche from chicago. Kept bitching about how nice everyone was in TX. He bought me a shot of jameson of which I refused. I already had 4 small kraken & dr. pepper and 2 beers and was going to leave soon, cause douche and I'm drunk already. I poured it in his beer & said have a good one.

Not relevant: Tired of my MSM feeling like it's on ice skates, anyone have recommendations for tires on racinghart boat rims? S Drives? 225?

Wasn't too hard, I searched for a few months until I found mine in Dallas. Drove 3 hours to pick it up with my ex, drove back that night. Found out halfway back it leaks oil all over the place and was abused. It's been completely rebuilt now, brand new CHRA. Fixed issues with turbo system, new greddy fv bov etc. You'll have better luck finding a unmolested 6speed NB. Having 'Mazdaspeed' specific parts is a pain in the *** (clutch master). Plus, MSM price inflation

Agreed in the not-worth-it-ness of the MSM. I found mine fully modded already in Cali and it was a helluva buy, but most of the time they're pretty overpriced.

Yeah I looked around a bit and found some with 100k+ miles for $10k which is ridiculous. But I did find a nice one with 60k miles for $7k.

Hopefully they don't hold their price as well as my STI does. People successfully sell beat up STIs with 100k miles for $20k all day.

Holy **** I'm so tired of listening to the two guys across the hall talk about guns all day long. My boss has been out all week so it's been terrible. At least when the boss is here they limit it to 10 or 15 minutes a day. This week it's been a solid hour or two every day.

I had to hear one of the managers in a meeting yesterday start talking about some Christian science center in Texas that shows a human foot print inside of a dinosaur foot print and how those "evolutionists" blah blah blah.
