Courtesy of Mazdaspeed S-plan pricing, I bought a CX-9 for my wife for Christmas. This is replacing her old Odyssey:

Now we have three Mazdas!

For a large SUV, that's about as sleek as it gets. I like the Volvo XC90 a bit more, but that's about it (and new XC90's are stupid expensive now).

Anyone have that special someone that flicks on the lights or does something just as irritating?

2 1/2 weeks straight our IT Dept. has been at odds with a business analyst (whom is terrible at her job, ate glue as a child) who decided one day to start turning on the lights.

Do I take on the task as a vote and go around the cubicles for a ON/OFF vote? Goto HR? Rip out the light switch panel? *Just a quarter of the lights are on when the switches are off.*

What would you do?

You'd rather sit around in a dark cubicle? What am I missing here

Ah sorry, it's not exactly dark. Just a quarter of the lights are on when the switches are off. Much easier on the eyes when you already have 3 screens in front of you...

Oh man, you've got that one person that can't control themselves. I see one of these in your future:

Have you tried f.lux? I use it on all my computers, and it definitely helps me with eye strain.

Are you guys all using monitors and the glue eater has a need to read from printed documents or put a pen to paper? Obviously, your needs would differ if you needed to find a file in a dimly lit drawer rather than on a backlit screen.

Glue eater has 2 monitors, but mostly faces away from the computers to eat or talk to other glue eaters.

Nice. Does it drive like zoom-zoom or is it a refrigerator?

Same question here. I hope it drives like it looks. What does S-plan save you anyway?

I tried to get the wife into one, but we got two of these instead:

I got this, can keep our recaro prorides.

First girl due May.

It drives well. It's not a Miata, but it drives better than anything else that seats 7. One caveat -- the engine is tuned for mid-range torque and runs out of breath up top (250 hp, 310 lb-ft). That's intentional and well-suits the usage of this type of vehicle, but can be a bit disappointing if that's not what you're expecting.

Once we sell the Honda, we won't have any more naturally aspirated vehicles -- 5 vehicles with 7 turbos among them.

On the CX-9, S-plan pricing is invoice.

This just in..

Some idiot decided to grab their favorite shotgun and attack (yes, attack) the US Embassy in Ankara, Turkey.
He reportedly failed to take over the building and kill everyone dead.

Happened at 3:55 am.
I mean, started and ended at 3:55 am.

They did not kill him.
I'm guessing it's kinda hard to aim while you're laughing your *** off.
The perp was apprehended.

I do love Turkish shotguns.
Good quality at very low prices.

I'm more worried about the Russian situation right now. What's the mood in Turkey about the ambassador?

It was a pistol, but you have probably watched the video by now.
How the ambassador didn't have any security behind him is a serious flaw. Russia should know better.

He was doing the dirty with his girlfriend, but when he tried the Turkish shotgun, she threw him out of bed.
Or,
We tried going downtown to score some Turkish shotguns, but all they had was crack and weed.
