The ticket won't be on record till you either pay it or appear in court, unless that whole inocent till proven guilty thing when out the window.

Also go back through that area on google street view and see if their are signs, if you can provide prrof you can write to a judge and explain your situation and maybe get it reduced/dropped

I'm not sure about that.

Technically, a traffic ticket is an arrest, and arrests remain on your record regardless of disposition.

Really?

I'm pretty sure its just a citation unless you admit to a crime during the stop, I can't find any information one way or the other right now though.

Remember, it may be different in different jurisdictions. However, you have the option of paying a fine or going to court and seeing a judge, so yes, innocent tell proven guilty still applies. You admit to speeding when you pay the fine, you can tell the judge that your innocent, which you are assumed to be until he/she says your guilty, however if you don't have plenty of really good evidence then the judge will probably just tell you to **** off, Your really better off talking to the prosecutor first, with evidence.

It doesn't matter what you call it. Ticket, citation, summons, Lots-O-Huggin Bear. When the officer stops you and hands you a Notice to Appear, you are under arrest.

The problem with going to court is that the court date is set on the same day 1 hour later than my exam, it would take 3 hours to get there from my school. Cant exactly make that. I started to look through the area in google, havent finished yet. but as of yet there arent any 25 mph zones.

gearhead: not quite on the pizza deal, My rents run their own buisness, and while im unemployed they pay me for doing stuff around the house like painting, and they do it through the business for a small tax break. I just dont want them to find out for their own sake, since they have enough stress on their hands with the business. but if its gonna come through as an update to my record to them, then I may as well tell them.

You should contact the Clerk of the Court, explain your situation, and request that your appearance be rescheduled. It might work or it might not.

If they don't check your insurance or criminal record in general, they won't find out. I might try asking your insurance agent or the county clerks office how they might see the ticket.

Just ask for a continuance, if they say no, ask if the judge will at least let you submit your statement on paper beforehand.

Then ask why the key witness is also the prosecuter.

So I gave up trying to find an ITR TB for the Miata and went with a 70mm Skunk2.

Is there any forums out there that are specifically for build threads?

What is the importance of blurring out license tags in pictures?

To obscure your identity from LEO's who might choose to frequent certain web forums in search of people bragging about doing things which are illegal, particularly given the frequency with which pictures are copied and cross-posted to places you don't know about.

For Californians, in particular, this is a highly valid concern. Merely possessing a vehicle with certain modifications is illegal here. So if someone is going to post a picture of their car with the hood up, I can certainly understand them not wanting to make it too easy for someone in law enforcement to obtain their name and address.

Along these lines, I can't help but facepalm of some of the vanity plates I see around here. A few weeks ago, I noticed a Subabishi with a license plate that read "20 PSI". You might as well just put up a sign in the back window saying "ATTENTION: COPS SUCK BIG DICKS. ALSO, THIS CAR IS ILLEGALLY MODIFIED. PLEASE PULL ME OVER AND ISSUE ME A REFEREE TICKET."

Driving home last night, me and my gf were 2.5 hours from home when we entered one of those stupid speedtrap cities. I even knew it was a speedtrap city and made sure to watch my speed. Original speed limit was 55, 100 ft later, 45, 200 ft later was 35, so i slowed down as quickly as possible without waking the gf. Came to a stop sign and turned left. last speed sign i saw was 35, so went to 35. almost immediately saw a 55 mph. The second i started accelerating to 55 i saw blues.

I ******* got trapped 40 in a 25, there was no ******* 25 mph sign!

WTF?

Its too far away to be worth trying to go back and fight. Besides I dont want to ever be in that shithole again.

This stupid cop also noticed that my eyes were glossy... ok, they get glossy when Im the slightest bit tired. We even let him search the car without a warrant in hopes that he would lower the charge. not a single mph was lowered.

Not only that, he was real quick to right a price tag on my mistake, 133.75 dollars.... dammit!
He even passed me in a no passing zone immediately after we started back up....

Any ideas on what to do?
Also, random note, but this wouldn't show up to a current employer unless they ran another background check would it?
A) Traffic violations don't report to criminal BG...only driver history. If you job involves riving a company car, you can bet they'll check your driving history.

B) You can have a bit of "revenge" when sending them your money. I like to carry a money order around in my *** crack for a day or two...get it nice and sweaty...before putting in an envelope. Just be sure to keep the receipt of your money order of a photocopy of a check...I've had them lose a $250 MO and ask for another one almost 2 years later.
