Lots of reasons. lol

Some pertain to the specific place of business and others the trade itself.

The biggest one for me was the assistant manager they had working there. He had little man syndrome and used to give me a hardcore attitude whenever the actual manager wasn't around. This ******* guy would walk straight at me when there's plenty of room on the left or right of me. Naturally I'd move cause he'd be charging at me and the ****** would shoulder check me like a dick. This happened twice before I asked him if there was a ******* problem. I told him face to face that I would knock his teeth out of his head. He told me I was fired and I laughed at him. I asked for what and he said for being belligerent. I told him that we'll handle it when the boss gets back from vacation and that I was going to keep working until then. The ******* guy was asking for a problem and let me tell you, it was harder to not hit him than it would have been to knock him out.

The other reason was the pressure. Working on my car and the trucks at the shop I don't have someone sitting in the waiting room or hanging around the bay door watching me work on their car. I would probably see 5-20 cars a day depending on what it was I was doing and I hated it. I felt like a ******* slave and it made me start to hate turning a wrench.

I still love to work on cars and will do it for friends and family, but as a job/career I wasn't cut out for it. I guess you can say I lack patience when I feel rushed. Wrenches have been known to fly across the ******* garage when I'm revved up.

Little dude needed his *** beat it sounds like. I can understand the pressure part of it. I feel that way to an extent, and I also have been known to blow a gasket and throw tools out of sight across the yard. I'll just have to show some super restraint and try to ignore the pressure related to a tight schedule. I think working in such a large shop will reduce the stress level, since less work will be on each individual. Plus customers aren't allows within sight of the shop, so no hawking from the bay door, and really no customer interaction at all, so a big bonus.

Avoid it like the plague. It's a 17 y/o Italian car with 2 turbos, it will have electrical problems. If you feel the need to lighten your wallet by $2K, I'd like a Begi turbo kit. Check my sig so you know which one to buy me. Thanks.

PS: It is an interesting car though.

Supra, especially mid 80's= damn near bullet proof. Reliabale as hell, even when you beat on them. Maseratti= just the opposite. Gremlins worst than lucas electrics in MGs. Stay away, unless you like fixing electrical problems.

If your Miata was too much for you to handle mechanically, I'd recommend the Maserati Biturbo. All of its problems are easily corrected with Al-Jon C20 Car Crusher.

Don't ever carry that mentality over to anything else they sell. As an example, let's pretend the store you bought your Craftsman vibrator from was called "Steam." (Random name) when you get home and open the box, you'll discover that there is no ***** inside whatsoever!

Well you can't own that pulsating ***** until you download the ***** file after signing up on the Website, silly boy!

If something like that happens again in your distant future tell them you are going to sue for defamation of character. I'm not really sure what that means but if you say it right you can make the manager sweat pretty hard.

I kind of liked the first version of this post better, where you used a vacuum cleaner as the example. The Steam reference has the potential to go over a lot of people's heads (it would have gone over my head six months ago) and that would sort of neuter the joke.

So did I.
Never again. Maybe I'm just a terrible judge of character but it seems like I can't figure out that a girl is nuts until its too late.
