Doubtful. I want a HT too. As soon as I find one semi local for $1000 or less I'm jumping on it. Strip this rattling piece of **** soft top frame off and lose some decent weight. Might also lose the wind noise from my terrible fitting window seals.

Yay Jefferson County, Alabama! Just watched a pretty depressing show on one of our local news channels about the environmental disaster ongoing in the county, kept from the public. Sort of makes Love Canal look like a small thing. Being one of the countries most densely packed, heavy industrial cities, of course there are pollution issues. Most of the county, especially the northern area have been tested by the EPA for about 20 years for pollutants in the air, soil and water, and a lot of locations tested far above acceptable. Yet it has been kept from the public, and the big companies have been calling the shots and telling the government how they are going to do things. Some schools in north Birmingham tested 300-650 times above acceptable levels with carcinogens in soil samples. A lot of the north Birmingham properties for home owners also tested very very far above acceptable limits on things like Benzene, Arsenic, Benz(a)anthracene and other PAH compounds... Yet the school board and other local and state agencies keep the info from the public and allow the schools to stay open. Never realized it until this show, but Jefferson county is 10th in the country for cancer related deaths.
So, not only are we the most in debt county in the country, and consistently high in the list for most dangerous places to live because of crime, but we are also one of the most polluted and least environmentally friendly places... I gotta get out of this ******* dump. I'm probably getting some of this **** myself, being only about 20 miles east of Birmingham. Winds surely blow a lot of it here.

Since moving into our new place I can't stop spending money!! In just the past 3-4 days I'm almost at $1000 between multiple trips to the stores and amazon. We had all the major stuff we needed already, but all this little **** just keeps adding up and it never seems to end!
I stayed home today to take advantage of the .01 listings today on ebay and instead of working to make money I'm adding **** to my cart and spending more!!

The thread continues much in that vein.
First off let me say that I have not always been the nicest of people, but it is something that I am working on. So I am not blameless and pure as the driven snow. Ok... I got that out of the way.
Back about 7 years ago when I bought my first Miata a 1992 Black & Tan I was excited not only to own, drive, maintain and modify my fun little car, but I was also excited to participate in a forum of like minded people. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that this forum was not nearly as snarky as some online forums I had sampled. Fast forward to now...
I seldom visited here for a time because I didn't have a Miata for a while, and kept myself busy with other forums, working on my old boat, enjoying my old BMW and my motorcycle. A few months ago I purchased yet another Miata and since I have been back I have sadly become aware that regardless what thread I begin to read this miata.net contentiousness inevitably creeps in.
Has this always been here in spades and am I just more sensitive to it now, or is this a fairly recent development? When did this start to happen? is there a way to stem the tide?
Perhaps my memory is selective, but I miss the old forum and I hope things change back to the way they were.

What is different about rear brake rotors between 1.6 and 1.8? I figured they were the same, but RacingBrake only lists 89-93 rear rotors... 
Oh, n/m, isn't the 1.6 a 9'' while the 1.8 is a 10'' ?
Anybody know of an aftermarket rear rotor for a 1.8 that has the hub area treated with some sort of paint like the RB ones are? Rust looks like ****, and I have never gotten any kind of paint to hold up well on brakes. Oh, n/m, again... I see GoodWin carries some DBA and StopTech rotors that will do me fine.
