Chicago weathermen are ****. The couldn't tell you if the sun will rise tomorrow with any real accuracy. Left the top down with the hard boot on, started raining, and by the time I got to it it was rather damp. Not seriously wet, but enough so have a soggy *** the rest of the day.

And the MTX-L got water in between the lens and face. Had to disassemble it all to dry it out.

As it was raining today, I looked up the forecast. 80% humidity, 0% chance of rain.

Yup. It's why I felt comfortable leaving the top down. 0% chance, partly cloudy.

I also had 6 of my guys outside sandblasting one of our 60K Boilers. They were not happy when the rain started coming down. Made a HUGE ******* mess and wasted several hundred pounds of coal slag.

Was coming back from a fun run with the local Miata club and it's sunny outside. Rain starts thrashing down when I'm merging from one freeway to the next. Basically just gives me reason to go to 2nd and punch it up to 90mph. Fun for me! Some dude in a moving truck was giving me a thumbs up and yelling at me.

Just devoted the remaining 40% of battery on my laptop to the Joe Perez thread last night (forgotten my charger at home) and I suddenly feel like my life has been made complete. Nothing says "Carpe Diem" like radioactive, deep fried puppies set ablaze by diesel fuel. This forum is much better than CR.

Perhaps it's you who doesn't understand weather reporting.

the chance of rain indicates that in situations where the conditions were like they are forecast to be, there was rain this many times out of 100.

so 0% chance of rain means it's unlikely, but it doesn't guarantee it's not going to.

weather mans only can interpret the data they have and speculate. Some are good and use multiple inputs and some are hacks and fail.

No, I do get that, but when the weatherguy says "bright sunny skies with a few clouds in the afternoon and slight chance of showers overnight" I don't usually interpret that to mean "huge ******' thunderstorms all afternoon starting before lunch."

Some weathermen are good, and some are ****, yes. Chicago seems to have an unusually large amount of the latter.

So this morning has been an awesome morning. I woke up to a great view at VIR, went on a nice morning bike ride with Hustler, then finally got a close date on my house. Also BOA are complete idiots. They just countered my last offer to them with an offer that is 2grand less.

BOA is the worst, at everything. And they are evil and corrupt. But I'm def jealous of that view.

Awesome! Is that a hotel that is right on the track? I know Sebring has something like that (Chateau Elan).

Winning?

BoA: "We'll sell you this house for $150k."
Lars: "It's not worth that. I'll give you $140k."
BoA: "If we are being honest, it's not worth that. How does $138k sound?"
