BMW Unveils their new Bi-Turbo V8
Interesting design, i think. Might make exhaust routing a bit difficult, and heat dissipation could be an issue, but i love design ideas that challenge the norm, and this certainly qualifies.

That makes alot of sence tho, The exhaust goes right into the turbos (heat efficenty ++!), There is little charge pipeing (not much air to compress), plus DI. As long as you could keep heat soak out of the block right under the turbos (turbo blankets?) and heat off the hood (heat shields), I think that could work wonderfully.

those cylinder walls in the 3rd and onward pics leave a lot to be desired....
seriously, this is going to be a car you'll only want to own on-lease and under warranty. ze germans may be creative with the packaging, but you can bet there's going to be a small, brittle $0.02 plastic bit hidden in the valley of that V which will inevitably and catastrophically fail. i don't want to begin counting the number of hours it would take to access it.
still, if i weren't paying the bills, i'd take it for a nice spin
