Default I just can't wrap my head around this stance stuff.

One of my co workers with an s2000 w/ rolled fenders, eBay fake Volks and some ebay springs left this page open on my computer which I found this morning.

StanceNation Shop

I found the last sticker especially intriguing.

Yeah, it's ******* stupid. Don't get me wrong, filling the fenders is one thing. Like Vlads car in his sig, that looks ****. It is subtle, yet it doesn't sit like a stock Miata monster truck and still has function. There is no stretched tires, camber looks good still, and no "dailydrivenhellaflushmadtytejdmstancenationsofres h" stickers slapped all over it.

I went to a "Canibeat" meet a few weeks ago in Fremont. I cannot take back the things I saw there. It is funny to me, there were a few nice cars, kept very clean, a lot of attention to detail, but nobody gave two ***** about those ones. It was all about the sticker slapped hella jdm civic with yellow fogs and a rusted hood that was na with a piece of exhaust sticking 4 feet past the rear bumper and pointing towards the sky.

There was a R33 Skyline there though... and that, that got my dick hard.

Just sayin'.

Are you referring to my genitals? If so, you are correct.

Actually, I respect that sticker. It is upfront and truthful about the stance craze. Stance is just another way to visually customize and enjoy a vehicle. Like low-riders, custom/chopped hot rods, etc. Not my cup of tea, but until Obama bans it as emperor, I support the free expression.

What's a laugh is that some think of stance as a performance modification. This sticker is right on the money about that, so I give it thumbs up for that.

Skylines are ******* everywhere down under, if it was a GTST, which it must have been right because GTRs arent allowed in the US, they command no respect at all. They are just another grocery getter driven by middle aged ladies and tryhards. Kind of like S14s.

Not sure what it was to be honest, it looked good, had a huge front mount, monstrous brakes, some nice meats, and sounded ******* mean. I wouldn't mess with it. Eh... who am I kidding, of course I would.

Dann they are a good car, it is just a shame they are ridiculously cheap and common so they attract idiots just wanting a cheap car to do skids/drift in. It gives them all a bad name.

The worst part about this trend is the scraping.
https://www.miataturbo.net/insert-bs...-haterz-60784/

My car is being built as a pure antithesis to this trend. I want my car to be so ******* fast that I can get away from these idiots.

It certainly is an interesting art...well at one point it was an art now its just a conforming cultural movement. Not for me, but I'm glad it's around, just to see a different perspective.

The only way I understand this is if they have bags. It still gives the stance that they want at the car show, and they can maintain the "function", for the most part, if they go about it in a smart manner (That's a long shot). You can keep a stock ride height while driving and the car still does most everything it is designed to do on the road. This being said, I laugh my *** off when some dude has coil-overs slammed, huge heavy rims with a wide offset, stretched tires, and the stickers... WTF. They either don't care or aren't smart enough to know what they are doing. camber and their steering axis inclination angles are ruined, which means their already stretched tires are taking a beating on the inside tread. They can kiss their Spindles, bearings, lugs and wheel studs goodbye thanks To the offset of their rims. Not to mention no suspension travel, accompanied by low profile tires.. It can't turn anymore, ride quality sucks, It scrapes everything, poor fuel economy, it eats tires, It looks ridiculous and they spend tons of money to make it worse than stock. Ya that car is as functional as it gets ( I know the sticker says "form over function", I have met my fair share of people that argue it is still, if not more, functional compared to stock)... It kills me that I am in this generation of people. It makes me seem like I have no idea what is going on, just because these people are in my age group... So frustrating.
