I think they are both good. But many folks want to try the other one. I'd also like to play with WinPhone 7 as I've heard good things about it from a friend.

Yeah, I was torn on an Evo 4g vs 3d. I went with the 3d for the 1.2ghz dual core cpu and 1GB of RAM over the Evo 1ghz single core and 512mb of RAM.

I'd like to try out the Samsung Galaxy S 2. Now that google is buying Motorola there should be some extra great android models out next year. I think I read that 1.5 ghz chips are on the way too. It's an interesting time for mobiles. At the same time though the providers seem to be cracking down in various ways. So unlimited might not mean what you expect. One thing to try on a fancy phone is to reduce voice compression for calls (uses more data). I did that on a phone I tried out via a service menu command and found that it sounded much more like a landline. Compression sux!

Oligopolies are legal in the communications industry because the government is the organizer.

Cell phone, cable TV, internet providers make so much damn profit, **** is unreal.

Between fixing my aging desktop, playing with a new laptop, and tuning the MS, I freely welcome the incredibly user friendliness of the iPhone. I'm a big fan.

I enjoy my 9700 but sometimes I do wish I had Facebook chat on it -- other than that, I don't think I'd get enough out of an "smarter" phone.

I'm still enduring drama with this phone. It's soft-bricking 5-10 times per day, requiring a battery pull each time...sometimes within minutes of the last. I just went to Sprint again, the third trip, and their solution is to continue reverting to factory settings and tell me to bring it in again next time it screws up.

Then, while I was in the store, I called HTC tech support...
So, what do I do when HTC's tech department tells Sprint to replace the phone with another 3D and they refuse and insist that it's an HTC software issue...with HTC on the phone? I think I end my contract in the 30-day holiday period and go back to ATT. Good job Sprint, you almost kept me as a customer for 6 days.

It's between Spring and ATT for you? Surprising. I just switched to Verizon from ATT, got 4g action, and I couldn't be happier for a long list of reasons. Maybe TX is different than CA, but ATT's coverage was ******* by comparison and data was slow as ****.

I know Verizon isn't the cheapest by a long shot, but I love the signal. (Can't stop the signal, Mal).

I switched from ATT because I was severely throttled due to listening to web-radio all the time and streaming netflix in hotels because I'm not single anymore and still like to party.
