Default Dumbest trend in the History of the Automobile

Well I have ocasionally seen them cruising around tampa, but I saw one on the way down to west palm beach the other weekend, and had to photograph it.

I believe people call them "donks." Its just ******* stupid though.
Discuss.

By the way this peice was riding on what appeared to be stock blacked out steelies.

I hear ya, I just don't get the point of jacking up a car. It's not like it looks good or anything.

To each his own...live and let live.

I have to admit...it does look pretty silly!

For a once, we must be trendsetters in Nebraska, albeit a bad trend. They have been sticking whatevers on 4x4 chassis here since the 80's. Wagons, camaros, you name it. Anything with the right wheelbase was fair game. There is a fairly nice 2 dr 55 chevy like that in my hometown since the early 80's. With the value of 55-57's now, I would assume it may be swapped back someday.

It must not be true what they say about black guys.

Anyways... here's the dumbest thing in Hampton Roads nowadays... they put them on ******* everything:

In any case, I think those vents are destined to be the 3-spoke-wheel of our time... like spinners were a few years ago. They'll disappear soon enough...just like drifting.

Nice DONK:

Gahh those portholes are all over the place here too! And the dumbasses don't even know the symbolism or history behind them. The pic you posted is a good example; that's a 4 cylinder vehicle with 3 portholes on each side. Original Buick portholes were intended to show off how many cylinders you had (6, 8..) so 3 per side would mean a six cylinder..

I see those fake port things and those donks all over the place down here. The further into Miami you go the more you see. I just cant imagine how those things must feel on the highway.

Aw, hell, I assumed that was a 4x4. I guess we don't have those. Now I feel better. We WILL probably see that in 5-10 years I guess. Well, 4-8, because we have them there "innernet pittchers" here now. Things travel faster now.

The first Donk pic.... wheels are too small
2nd Pic.... I actually like

I have to admit they're kinda cool when done well. I'm not saying that they are in any way useful or practical, or even safe for that matter..... But I kind of like the way some of them look. I even bought "donk box and bubble" magazine about 6 months ago to check em out.

Come on, this is just gangster!
