Default Riding in Cars with Boys

If one is to go somewhere with friends, is it wrong to insist on driving? I hate being a passenger unless I'm drunk and then I can puke out the window.

I realize many of you drive Miatae and/or lack friends, but is being a chauffeur a beta move?

Behold, ****:

I hate being the passenger, must be driver myself. I'd definitely think it's an Alpha move. You're in control of where you go, and you look the most suave in front of the ladies. At least compared to your drunken friends.

edit: and those are *****, not ****.

Driver is in control, therefor driver is alfa.
I also hate being a passenger, I must be in control, especially if the passenger is a woman.

Women drivers no survivors

If women is the driver, then I will drive every time. At that point it's about survival.

If its not my dad driving, then I refuse to get in the passenger seat... To the point I told her to pack her bags if she didn't get out of the drivers seat.

My wife drives pretty much everywhere. It's not a big deal to me. I can drink and not worry about getting home, snooze, surf my phone, whatever.

I used to get worked up about it and have to drive everywhere but I drive 35K miles a year so I have no problem letting anyone else drive.

Not only do I prefer to be the driver, I also prefer to take my vehicle. That way if me and my friends go somewhere that I get bored with, we have to leave when I want to, not necessarily when they want to.

Remember when you chauffeured me around to the north? That was pretty erotic.

My job, housing, and work situation had me driving 1200mi a week for 2yrs and I'd still rather be driving.

I have slowed down a lot though, and this only applies to our vehicles.

Partially because I want to partially because I get motion sick if others drive. The others I drive with usually prefer not to drive because the highway scares them.

I don't mind not driving (and in some cases I actually prefer others driving the car), then again I've never been inside a car with a really bad driver.

I always drive. Whether its in my car, her car, the work trucks, etc. I don't go out much anymore, but when I used to I always drove us there. Which means I was also the one always getting pulled over. lol

When I was younger I LOVED to drive. I'd work a 12 hour day and if nothing else was going on, I'd hop in the miata and go our for a few hours just cruising around with the top down.

Now, I almost hate to drive. I feel like 95% of the other people on the road are any one of the following;

-Too old to be driving
-Riding in the fast lane on the highway going 50mph
-Tailgating me when all the cars in front of me are keeping me from doing **** about it
-Pulling over the line at the intersection and blocking ALL traffic when the lights change
-16-20 year old kids driving extremely reckless in their beat up pieces of ****
-Illegals driving around way under the speed limit, trying to avoid getting pulled over
-Overly done lifted pickups tailgating with their headlights right in my eyes
-The people that drive like their drunk when it starts to rain a little heavy
-The people that get stuck all over the roads when it snows
-The people that pass me one second, then get in front of me and go slower than I was going so now I have to pass them

The list goes on and on. To be quite frank, when I'm out driving I pretty much hate everyone else on the road.

I have an extreme temper and sometimes I show the hate. On a daily basis I either yell at someone, flick them off, show them my fist and yell "**** you", etc etc. I have been known for getting out of the car on multiple occasions as well, a few times having it get pretty nuts.

Needless to say, girls are usually upset when driving with me. I try and keep my mouth shut and eyes out of the rear view mirror, but that usually only lasts about 5-10 mins. lol
