When you eliminate the rule, super-***-BOTS can run rampant... and we have enough of those who come straight from the Honda forums that we don't need to help them out.

Johnson?

If that is not the case, you'll find that it's actually quite a fun forum with much more real world information that the other big Miata sites.

You just have to get past the "initiation".

Where are you in Austin? I was born in Houston, and lived in Round Rock from 1980-2001.
My original post was actually early January and I was trying to communicate with another Texas member at the time. I am also a contributing member of other Miata sites. I may not post often.... but I appreciate a site like miataturbo.net for the information and experiences of other Miata owners. Mine will soon be forced induction and I will need to better comprehend the tuning procedures and other tricks. Already I have tinkered with the suspension components... though not what most would recommend... She currently exhibits too much over steer. Maybe I should post a topic discussion of what I've done that was different regarding my suspension. Not that it's right, but what I've endeavored.

Anyway, I hope the initiation is either over or gets more fun. I don't mind really.

Oh, I am at Windy Point on Lake Travis ... about 17 miles from downtown Austin.

The Miata is my preferred DD. I have another toy... Check out my 1989 Dodge Dakota 4x4 factory convertible. I was young and dumb when I bought this one (original owner) and beat the **** out of her. This one is a refurb project that I work on with my teen children. Guess what they prefer to drive?

I remember that little piece of the 80's. There were a few kids that torched the top off their trucks in High School.

In Florida, the novelty wore off real quick during the rainy season.

Jestmaty making homebrew....

Drinking homebrew....

Thinking.... "when I sober up, I'm gonna go hit that Miata in the twisties" HAHA, there are no twisties down in Houston!

I'm going to be in Austin on Sat 4/12, may stay overnight and bring the Kia Optima 2.0 ltr turbo to C&C, probably won't have the Miata back by then

>Jestmaty.. C&C is closed... A tragedy of the drought. Anyway, you'll like the road to my place better. Try for April 5th. Come see me and camp. Be my guest once, Saturday night (I drink Crown Royal). Then go to The Oasis restaurant on Sunday April 6th for the Cars & Coffee. Unless the weather turns sucky.... You don't want to miss this one. Discovery Channel will be here and so the turnout may double. Just look for a running camera... be in the background and wave... then relive the moment when it goes to broadcast. (this post really should've been merged in the events section... but BS has been entertaining... hope I didn't cut my own **** off here yet.)

In Piers Anthony "Xanth" books, the ellipsis is a symbol of an orgasm.

Baustx is simply having a good time while posting on the internet.

Kind of you to offer, but... 1, Coffee/Cars Austin is on the 2nd Sunday of the month, April 13th this year.

2, I have a teenage son who WILL throw a big party if I go out of town and stay overnight. If I'm out of town, I'll miss his party!

3, Bummed that Carlos & Charlies closed... used to drive my boat right up to it. Neatest thing to do on the lake
