Having 650hp, on a factory warrantied motor, that won't need to be rebuilt for at least 100,000 miles, FTMFW.

Ford Modulars take boost very well. You will be surprised to know people are making upwards of 500hp on stock blocks.

Having an engine that revs at 19,200 rpm, weighs less than 200 lbs., and over 900 hp .
and has no warranty whatsoever you break it you buy it and is changed and rebuilt after every race

If that's the intake plenum, where's the intake? And don't try to tell us that little capped off port is it...you know, the little port that looks like it'd be the perfect size to run an oil line to from the external oil pump.

BTW, Loki, why do you say GM's behind Ford? Is that with regard to the flow of their heads, their experience in supercharging or what? The Ford GT makes, what, 550hp from a supercharged 5.4L with DOHC heads, while this LS9 will likely make 600-650 from 800cc more displacement but also only one camshaft and "lesser" flowing heads. Sounds like they're both about on par.

It's a new trend, you put the head on the k-member and route the exhaust up through the windshield, better flow....

The only true writing on that picture is the BMW Power logo on the oil pan. The other one is added, unless BMW is printing their logo to overlap onto the exhaust manifolds.

I'm not arguing which car is faster, although I seriously doubt the GT's chassis layout and design would overcome a 50-100hp deficit and 400lbs. more weight to haul around. The current Z06 is nearly as fast as the GT around a road course, so I see no reason to believe the ZR1 will not beat the GT.

More importantly, with the money you saved buying the Z06 you can certainly make the Z06 much faster.

If someone offered you a zo6 or a cobra, would it be a hard choice?
