Default HD DVD Help

When I bought my xbox 360 the seller included in the sale the Planet Earth dvd (HD version). I didn't have an HD player so I decided to add a HD/BR player to my media pc. Newegg.com - LG Black 6X Blu-ray DVD-ROM 16X DVD-ROM 40X CD-ROM SATA Internal Blu-ray/HD DVD-ROM & 16X DVD±R DVD Burner Model GGC-H20L - Blu-Ray Drives

I installed it, installed the drivers but it wont play my Planet Earth HD DVD disc. I keep getting this message "Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with windows."

Anyone have any ideas?

hm, I didn't know that they had HD AND BR players in one package...

I am willing to bet that you bought a Blueray high definition unit, not a HD unit.

Yea as far as I know its either one or the other. HD DVDs or Blu-ray.

In any case HD is gone now and Blu-ray players are a better choice.

You're right, the website I was looking at wasn't being clear.

You need cyberlink powerdvd, but a specific older version that supported HD DVD. I might actually have it, IM me tonight and ill hook you up.
