Default I narrowly missed disaster today v.crime

I bought up a '99 swap car a few months ago, through an acquaintance but never paid him because he wanted the front clip, and the body parts (he held the car as a favor because I brokered a deal between he and my father for a 68 Yenko Camaro). I told him that I couldn't get the car for a while, and he was cool with that.

I talked to him this weekend and the guy demanded that I come get the stuff. Suddenly however, he wants $300 more and won't take a check. I cross referenced the vin he gave me (for lsd checking) a few months ago with the police to find the car was stolen...lol.

Well, the police are going to meet him later today. I would have bought the parts up if the guy hadn't been such an ***, raised the price, and been a dick about everything.

I'm back to square 1...damn it!

I know its ------ry, but I wanted to think I was standing up for the miata crew lol.

If anything, its one less person to worry about stealing my car. On a sad note though, I'm stuck with a shitty old 150k mile 1.6 still.

Can't be that shitty if you can still track it. Turbo that 1.6 already.

i've seen spec miatas with more miles on their engine go multiple seasons without a rebuild without problems and finish well.

Its worth the money for piece of mind on a rebuild. I won't have fun if I don't think the car will make it home.
