Put the tire/rim on and give it one solid pump with your floor pump.
rock the tire side to side on the rim all the way around. inflate to 20-30psi and do it again before you fully inflate.
In other news, converting my tandem from 3x10 mechanical to wide range 2x11 with hydraulic di2.
I have the R785 levers, Saint big boy 4 pot calipers and the new double crankset... just need the di2 supporting bits like the wires, derailleurs and new 11s cassette.

Happened quite suddenly. I know it didn't look like that yesterday, as I had the bike upstairs to replace the front tube which had just popped, and I inspected and measured the pressure on the rear before finishing up.

The replacement continental 700x20-25cc tube was significantly smaller in tube diameter than the Kenya's of the same 'size'. I used 16mm wide Velox which covered the non-centered spoke holes nicely. That plus a lot of baby powder and I was able to slip on the tires without much effort by hand. No issues pumping up and holding air for a week now.

I figured. Both were new. Kenya is larger in tube cross section dia by a sizeable amount. I'd say .125 on cross section dia. It was significant. It barely fit in the tire. The Continental was much better. Maybe the Kenya was miss boxed; I don't know any better as it was my first time dealing with road tires/tubes.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll get some better quality tape along with new tubes. This trainer tire is sooo damn stiff I have to use levers to get it on at the end. I even used a little WD40 the last time to try to make sure I don't pinch, which helped tremendously obviously.
After the 3rd install I left it at 100psi because I didn't want to burst it and because I figured it would get warm, and it did. But having it pop 10 minutes after I finished my workout was strange.
RE: 120psi on the street...initially I thought I was around 100 per the gauge on my chinese inflater. It wasn't until I got something of higher quality that showed 120psi (which is what my air compressor gauge said but that was harbor freight and assumed was reading high). I lowered to 100 and didn't like it as much, so I went back to 110-120. These are 23c's also.
I've hit some major pot holes this year, enough to bend the wheel slightly and no issues with the tubes
How many miles should a road tire last? My rear is already somewhat flat in the middle with ~450 miles.

I buy Kenda smooth 48mm presta tubes as they don't destroy the pump-head; "700x23/25c, 48mm F/V".
I'm selling my 34mm carbon race wheels if anyone is interested as I'm going to tubeless for everything. Tired of traveling to a road race to make it through the race with 10 miles to go and get a flat.
I use a tire-jack for new Gatorskins, they're tight.

It literally almost cost me my life- I was directly in front of a bus at the time. And this, after I watched a cyclist get hit by a taxicab last night on 1st @ 46th. (Yes, I stopped to render aid & comfort until the ambulance arrived.)
This isn't the first time this has happened...
