I meant more the overall elevation than the elevation gain. Looks like it was about 1000' higher than your normal rides.

E02K - going this year?

Most likely not. I probably wouldn't even recognise the event at this point. I just checked and the years me and my buddies volunteered were 91 to 94

Made it out to Sea Otter a few times. Trade show was always entertaining, Dual Slalom was a blast, but the "DH" uhhh.... sidewalk was, well a sidewalk. Not really worth the trip out IMO. If you're close then it's a fun weekend.

If you wear out the 42t in 400 miles like 80% of my customers then you'll be a *****.

Guide RSC's?

I don't know what rides you're looking at. Our normal ~45 mile loop has about 2500'. There were only two real "climbs" by Texas standards, which are pretty lame until you get to the proper hill country.

That will not happen... I try to not use it since I was doing all my rides on a 36t anyways. It's my emergency bailout/super high elevation granny ring.

Yes. They seem to work fine.

Still collecting bike bits to build some frames up for this season!

Cant wait!

I do need an SRAM road 10 speed RD and GXP english bottom bracket for my single bike to complete the component set though...

Fixed my tire rub issue by filing the drop-out epoxy flush with with the RD hanger on one side so the wheels sit centered now. Life is again worth living.

haha- I did skim one of his build threads... it was depressing.

In other news- jury is out on the oval chainring:

Not sure if I like it or not. It feels fine when mashing gears at low RPM, but weird at higher cadence. Also I think it's messing up my shifting.

Was thinking of Trey and his disposable bike habits while watching the premiere of the new season of Top Gear.

Hammond was riding some spendy thing with electric derailleurs and crashed and sheared the rear D off in the first few miles.

He did so because he pulled a total n00b maneuver with the tram tracks, lol.

Imagine how mad the other two would have been if he hadn't done that, too. He would have won the race, easily.
