If FEMA had the bicycles, would it fund Hustler's manlet bib?

The road bike is going nowhere, regardless of it's material.

I dislike water (be it rain, puddles or whatever) and rim brakes. for anything but fair weather road riding I would try to find something with disc IMO.

I will still ride the CAAD10 road bike daily, Cannondale won't sell a bare frame, and it's a gravel bike so I wouldn't want my road stuff on it getting torn up nor dirty. The road bike is holy.

Nothing promotes the joy of a quick ride on dirt paths like disassembling 80% of your bike every time you want to ride your other bike. I get annoyed when I have to move my spares bag from one bike to the other, dude. This is kind of a ridiculous suggestion.

Got to take a ride on my favorite socal trail this last weekend. San Juan Trail. 25 miles, 3500 climibing of nothing but single track. On the way out to the trail it was nothing but smoke from the Pendleton and San Marcos fires but the bike gods shined upon us and cleared the smoke about 2 miles before we got to the trail head.
I've been shopping for a new dirt rig... Rented this Santa Cruz 5010 carbon for the day. Mind blowing bike to be honest. 1x11 and weighs around 26lbs. Prob the best mixed use bike I've ever ridden. Was also my first 650b bike that I've ridden... currently I own a trail geo 29r hard tail. Let's just say I'm shopping for a new FS 650b.
Pic is from Cocktail Rock and my buddies 2010 specialized enduro is in front. You can see the nasty smoke/air quality in the distance.

That video kills me. Dude's heart had to be so jacked-full of blow and EPO that it was ready to explode. Contador routinely went up cat 1 and HC climbs in the 53 in the EPO era.

once you go 1x11 you never go back. i can't stand front derailleurs anymore.
