My buddy has a CTS-V and it is a very nice DD car with power. If you are looking for a DD I am sure they are worth a test drive. I enjoyed driving his CTS-V. However, I would only look at it as a DD, never a project car. It is too big. I will stick to my MX5.

Whenever I dream of the day I have GTR money, I always go back and forth with the GTR or 911 question. I think at the end of the day I would take the 911... however, I have never driven either so WTF do I know. I know either would be a summer car because the GTR would never make it in MN winters (clearance). With that being said a 911 seems to be a legit choice.

However, I have some family with a C6, C7 and soon another C7 (2016). I have driven the C6, but not had the opportunity to drive the C7. However, I would test drive one without a doubt. The new Z06/Z07 package looks pretty great on the C7.

I'm the worst decision maker ever.

Quickly researched my buddies Camaro and I'm not going to do it.

I think you just proved you're not "the worst decision maker ever."

hahaha yeah I suppose so.

I just ran over to the Chevy dealer and the Z28 is gone. Looked at a 2015 2SS and I'm going to try and set up a test drive.

I'm thinking that if I want to get into something as quickly as I'm trying to that I'll have to make sacrifices.

If it drives nice and makes me feel good, I'm down.

Well, I've got a G8 (same car as the SS -- a little less "refined") and it's been a great DD. Lots of room for passengers when needed.

HOLD ON A SECOND.

Let's see... pay $40k for a car you kinda maybe like, or rent a car for a couple months at a cost of a couple grand (or buy a cheap beater to drive in the meantime) and get something you'll really enjoy.

If you're buying a car, buy a car you WANT.

Decided to get something halfway reasonable and spend the other bit of money on finally getting myself health insurance.

2015 Camaro 2SS with both 1LE & RS packages.

Took it for the first real drive yesterday, but with all this snow, it'll be sitting for awhile.

Nice! I see you have the HUD. I always liked those.

I never noticed where the hand brake was on the Camaro before.

grats on the purchase.
why is the hood a different color/texture?
they're quick, there was exactly the same one at the track last week running low 13's.

I think your decision not to spend ALLOFIT is a good one. Healthcare is def more important.

Who is Ingersoll and how much does he pay you to advertise for him?

Really nice car. The ceiling is a little low for me when wearing a helmet but it is a really nice street cruiser.

The HUD is a pretty cool feature for sure! I still cant believe how much technology they put in a Camaro now. lol

Thanks man! The 1LE package comes with a slew of things, one of them being a matte black hood and rear spoiler. I think it sets the color off nicely myself, but know its going to be a **** to keep clean.

Yeah I've been without insurance for awhile, so it seemed ridiculous to spend a crazy amount of money on a car, meanwhile remain a risk to my own future.

Going to have plates made with our company logo/info on them and swap out.

Thanks man! I only drove it once so far since buying it, but its a lot of fun. Much different beast than the Miata. Headroom is a bit tight, but I knew that going into the purchase.

Love the matte hood! The visibility out of it must not be all to well though, but it is a muscle car.

I have instructed from the passenger side of the ZL1 at Sebring and Daytona (same student) and it is a very solid and capable chassis. His had ratcheting seatbelts (not sure if yours does) which was a welcome option for me.

Visibility is the one negative thing I read in all the reviews before purchasing the car but to be honest, its really not all that bad.

If it was a ZL1 than I think it comes with Recaro seats and different belts. I didn't opt for them, as I knew this would be my daily.

Instead of spending the $100+K on a GT-R I would get a used 911 for about $45K or get a 2012 Miata with a 2.5L swap + a Rotrex SC and all the other goodies. And save the rest of the dough for other things in life like travel, women, and photography.
