honestly I'd like to be in something like a c30 or something small, but I need something practical and I want something AWD. although I need practicality once every 2 years or so. Wifey has the prelude, wants a g35 coupe or CLK or something, so I need ot have the 4 door. and I really want a hatch to haul things I dont know or have.

Same exact scenario: we dont have children (except the 106lb german shepherd), and I dont go snowboarding or camping or anything that requires an SUV.
However,
the once or twice a month where I have to transport something large (aside from hustlers ******) its awesome to fold the rear seats down and basically have a truck.
rex wagons are just as cool, so I'm not advising against them, they just don't have as much space and their transmissions (06-07 ones specifically) suck *****.

my neighbor loves subarus. he loves to buy broken ones and fix them. I've helped him weld on parts before.
anyway...
the car is ordered
the rate locked in
the deposit paid
at least I got out of there shaking on a price of ~1600 over invoice. unless I'm mistaken or something, that's pretty decent for a MINI product.
I will keep you abreast (huh huh) of how useful the warranty coverage is.
