Has your significant other ever damaged your car?
So this morning.. I managed to get a nintendo wii and I was getting ready to go to my friends house.. and my girlfriend walked in. She told me that she hit my IS300. Well lucky for her, she missed my headlight housings as well as my CWest front bumper by mere millimeters. She did, however, smash my qpanel into my wheel, making the car undrivable and unfortunately my miata is down also.
Here's my question.... am i allowed to be pissed? does this fall under the accidents happen clause? What did you do when/if it happened to you?

Well I put no but then I remembered about a year ago I was at my parents car and had my miata parked in the driveway, my sister backed out im assuming she wasnt looking behind her and backed up straight into my drivers side door, totally crushing it in and making it un-usable.. I was so mad i just crawled through the passenger side door and drove off.. But later I calmed down and realized she didnt mean to do it and I picked up a used door and fixed it myself.. Accidents happen man

It's unfortunate, but it happens. She fessed up and I'm sure feels real bad about it. I wouldn't turn it into a big deal. You're bound to screw something up eventually, and you wouldn't want her to give you hell for it.
My girlfriend rolled a 3 week old explorer. I didn't even get the license plate yet. Of course it was totalled. But I was happy that she was generally ok--and could not have cared less about my truck.
My mom drove my dad's Mercedes once. She went to back it out of the garage to make room. The car caught fire as soon as she turned the key and burned. My dad still doesn't let her hear the end of it, 15 years later.

I used to get pissed when my wife did little stupid things like this. After nearly 2 years of marriage I've learned to pick my battles. I also learned the hard way that **** happens when I "forgot" to put her automatic in park before climbing out and it rolled into the garage door. I should not be allowed to drive when I've only had an hour of sleep.

Was she on the phone? I told my wife once (after sitting white-knuckled for five minutes as she told her sister how to fill out some form) that her driving went from average to holy-****-I'm-gonna-die bad while she was on the phone. She said I was full of it.
Two days later I came out of the house to find her car parked on the driveway with both right side tires in the grass. I asked her to come outside and said "WTF, why did you park on the grass?" She said she didn't even know she had... she was on the phone when she pulled into the driveway.
She's not allowed to talk on the phone when I'm in the car. I take the call and relay information, but usually just tell whoever it is that she'll call back when we're stopped. I told her parents about it, and if they call her and can tell she's driving, they'll hang up.
I stay off the phone while driving the Miata, can't hear **** cause the top is always down! I always use my Bluetooth when I'm in the truck.

Well, I've got the winter beater parked down the bottom of the driveway, and twice... basically two week-ends in a row, she has managed to "scrape" a long the drivers side of the beater, with her car.
Fortunately the "replacement" beater is a Saturn, so it's actually not bad, those plastic panels really do work.... <G> The beater itself, has a nice line or two of green paint in it....
Other than yelling stop... since of course, I was outside when the both happened... and the occasional ribbing... I don't really care. I was more concerned about the scrapes on the saturn.
Basically, the answer is "**** happens"... <G> My buddy had his wife put one car through the garage door one day too.....
