I guess if he could get $15K for that, I'd sell it, too.

Wonder what the NEXT project will be?

I also wonder why he didn't list it for sale here? There have always been vultures for his partouts.

if your business is growing you should be making more money

Step 1: Hire me
Step 2: Pay someone to finish the swap/build

ecko, are you proficient in either hardcore oop php/python coding or linux/unix system administration (high availability, clustering, load balancing, cloud/grid storage)?
also, ive got no problem finishing the car but it still needs another $2k of crap to get it done and id rather spend that money on new servers which i desperately need. have you priced a decent enterprise-level private cloud hardware recently? **** is uber expensive!

UrbanSoot,

I had the same thing happen to me. I started to build my car, but started a business and could not afford the time and money to finish the car. I let it sit for years before I finally finished it. This was when top SCCA E production miatas were running carbs. That is one of the reason I have carburators. But things changed, and I finally got it done.

I have to say that I am so glad that I did not sell it. It is such a good feeling to finish a project, and I really enjoy my car despite all the flaming I get for what most people say is an outdated set up. My financial situation is now such that I can further develop what I have started, I am way ahead of the game because of patience and experience. I have saved money by utilizing what I have, and not taking a loss on parts that I never used. I wish you would just walk away from it for a while and get it done.

Be patient.

it has been on hold for past 3-4 months. i need to come up with around $250k asap. im meeting with an investor this week and if it goes good - ill keep the damned thing and finish it pretty soon, otherwise - it really needs to go. in fact, im selling a whole bunch of stuff that i dont absolutely need.

I admire the fact that you've got your priorities straight.

Was looking forward to seeing you finish it, but it's always better to see someone succeed at life...
