Warning. This video is a gratuitous celebration of violence and evil.

SRV, the Doors, Otis redding, James Brown, Rakim would have been cool. De la Soul was the best show I ever saw live with MF Doom a close second. I would like to see Necro, and more Wutang shows in the future and any show that Premier is DJing. And Dylan just because I feel I should see him while he's still alive even if he sounds like crap now.

(I don't have sound at work but I believe this is the right Necro song, enjoy)

I didn't say anything because I didn't want to go down that road with a guy who obviously knows more about music than us.

Without getting into the other guys in the goup, I would say most lists of the top guitar players of all time would include Kirk Hammett of Metallica.

I think if a guitar company has come out with a special edition bearing your name, you're up there...

I know you've heard of the guitar, but have you ever heard a performance by Les Paul?
Sponsored by Listerine circa 1953.
Great commercials.

He might be influential but that doesn't mean he's a good guitar player, he's sloppy as **** (even back in the day).

Speaking, I just bought a used Rogue EA-3 steel lap guitar for 50 bucks. I love ebay.

He's not even one of the top ten players in his own genre, much less across all styles and disciplines. There is some real talent out there, and he's frankly kinda weak. And not exactly versatile.

I agree. I am an old-school Metallica fan, and Master of Puppets (whole album) is one of my favorites (a genre landmark, like Reign in Blood was). But I would not put Hammett up near the top of the list. Les Claypool smokes him with two fewer strings. Billy Gibbons has way more style... Jimmy Page... Tom Morello... John McLaughlin... Clapton... Howe... I could go on...

I think Rolling Stone's list is off. There are a lot of guys below Hammett that should be above.
