The kitten & cat thread
#1622
just got a text from a friend's Dad. Its not even my cat but i went into a bumbling mess of tears because I did know the cat, and I was there when they got him. Pour bud was diagnosed with advanced lymphosarcoma, and hasnt eaten in about a week. I dont know what I can do to help but its a sad situation since i consider my friend and his family my family.
if he decides to leave us, then we are definitely going to miss him, he is a good cat.

Inlaws got a new kitty. He's about 6 months old, super lankey and his paws are still huge. He's gonna be a big boy.
Sorry for the poor quality pics, he can't hold still long enough for the camera to focus

All is well, but hope I don't get banned for this..... I ran over my cat the day before yesterday. She is fine though. Got in my '97, fired it up, belt squealed cause I'm lazy and never fix it, fiddled with radio, sent class mate text about exam, and proceed to coast backward down my driveway. THUMP! Front right lifts up and drops. I'm thinking, "awe damn I left something out and squished it." Nope, Piper runs out from under the front and books it. She disappears around the porch in my freaked out frantic ditching out the car to grab her and haul to the vet. After tearing the neighborhood apart for hours, my dog helps cause they are mates, she turns up in the front yard like a ninja.
NO broken bones, some bruising on her bladder, and a bit stressed. All X-rays are fine. Vet is pretty sure I ran her over and so am I, but she is fine. I guess light car, 205mm spread across kitty, and luck make her a very lucky kitty.....and I am very relieved. (Painful vet bill and fear of losing her means I'll look under car more, bruised and sore I hope she'll learn to get out from under the car)
Still a little groggy from anesthesia.

My cat, who is all grey, and just about a perfect match for worn pavement, likes to lay in the middle of the road to soak up the sun. I fear finding him flattened one day.
Glad your kitty is okay.
