There's a small cat in those pictures?

I'm taking this big guy (Riley) in tomorrow morning for a check up. He's got an aggressive mass growing on his lower intestine/colon and he's been having some abdominal cramps this week (shudder and yelp style) and it might be his last trip to the vet. He is 14.

The timing couldn't be worse too. We're leaving on vacation Monday for two weeks. I have the most elite cat-sitter coming by daily for the time we're out but if Riley's in pain all day, that's no good. And I don't want to burden someone else with this potential drama.

I'm a lot sad and a little stressed out.

Man, that sucks. Hopefully, Riley will be okay for a little while so you can enjoy the trip and deal with him when you get back. Not something that should be rushed.

Any chance your vet offers boarding? I have had to do that a time or two when a pet was sick right when vacation was scheduled. That way, if something does come up, you at least know that Riley is at the best place.

I made the hard decision this morning. That decision was to not prolong his pain during our vacation while we couldn't be with him. There's a very good chance he wouldn't be comfortable much beyond that at best especially if he's permanently constipated. Doc was pretty confident even with laxatives that he wasn't going to evacuate his bowels.

Needless to say, I barely held my **** together at the vet.

So I found some local artwork on a dumpster behind the Free Aids Testing Center here in downtown Orlando showcasing a doppelgänger of my little black haired and green eyed kitty. Picture also contains a rainbow and a turbo Miata, so get your fapping hand ready.

The one and only Aunt "Sugartits" Jemima.

Some bonus cat selfies, you can tell she loves taking pictures.

Sorry about your kitty, Matt. You are among those who understand.

Good pics, Owen. Kitties are awesome buddies.

I have always loved my kitties but developed an allergy to them a few years back. I couldn't stand it so I'm taking a long term battery of allergy drops to desensitize my body to the allergens they carry. Side effects include daily headaches and sinus pain. Having kitties in the house includes daily headaches and sinus pain, so that's nothing new. But it created animosity between my cats and I because everytime they would sit in my lap to get attention it would hurt me for hours.

New kitten came home tonight from the shelter.
Yet to be named... but she darts all over.
And is quite brave. Hissed a few times at the dog but that was it.
Our older kitty isn't very happy, but it's only been a few hours.

The shelter wanted a pic for their FB page...

Already enjoying the warmth of the notebook.
