Grew up on TNG, DS9, and Voyager. Never really got into TOS or Enterprise, but I really want to see this movie.

I'll see it. Not sporting wood over it, but I'll see it. Might have to wait for vido, though, as my wife has zero interest. I actually just watched a couple of the movies a couple of weeks ago. Of course, I remember watching the original Star Trek when it was in syndication. Shatner got all the babes-didn't matter what color they were. White, black, green, purple - all the same to him.

Star Trek related joke:

So the prime minister of Iraq and GW Bush are walking around in camp david and the prime minister turns to bush and says, excuse me mr bush. I love your show star trek. I have always wondered one thing, I see chinese, english, blacks on the show but never any Arabs. Why is that. GW calmly leans over and says, there are no Arabs in the future.

+1. TNG is my favorite, just wish they would have done more linked story lines. DS9 was awesome and Voyager was s'ok.

IMAX is sold out Friday night already. Probably see it Saturday night.

I'm pretty excited about this in regards to the movie, it looks good to non-fans. Here's hoping it's good no matter what.

my gf will see it because it's that fool JJ abrams.

so I think it will be a good action sci fi movie

but it will be a horrible star trek.

PS my old roommate hung out with scott bakula last year when he was in the play at Ford's Theatre (she's the company mgr). Apparently a bunch of nappy old cougars have a fan club and follow him around everywhere. Man Enterprise sucked.

It's good excuse to go to Balad; catch a movie and hit the pool.

Based on this thread:

https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t34808/

I'm not sure what that ticket may cost you, but most likely it will involve a six pack of Natty Ice, Crisco, and Jack Johnson.

Oh man Joe, my bad. I had no idea you were back. I thought you went back home based on your thread with your house flood, no idea you returned. The tickets I bought were for a large group of us going tonight.

Sorry man.

I can however offer you to join us for a wine tasting and dinner before the movie. I promise you wont be bored.

Love the Onion. Love the old campy treks. Not a trekkie but enjoy entertaining tv and movies. Trek has been entertaining.

Damn Sam. How could you not hook a brudder up! Joe, just crash it. Gotta be ticks available.
