Its very VERY minimal, but nothing a quick swipe of the broom can't take care of.

Plus, its funny to watch when the cat has her head poking out of the hole and she starts making her poop face

World's Best Cat Litter is the best!!!!

Why 50/50?

worlds best clumps like a boss

but the poopoo and peepee stink like the dickens.

S'wheat scoop neutralizes odors pretty well but doesn't clump into the bricks as well.

so I mix.

plus it's slightly cheaper that way.

i used those clever cat boxes for a while at my previous apartment. they were great at keeping the litter in the ------- box.

$5 pan with surprisingly slick non-stick surface. These also work well for Miata fluid catch pans.

My cat sees it as a personal challenge to get as much litter out of the box and onto the floor as possible. This was the only way to win
I have one of these as well. My little guy aggressively covers his wares when he is done. It wouldn't be unusual to find litter 20ft away in another room before I got one of these. Now I just line it with lawn bags and there isn't a spec of litter anywhere beyond the box. The special lid on this box does seem to help remove any stragglers from his feet, I don't know if a Rubbermaid lid would be as effective. It's not like it was that expensive anyway at Pets-mart.

Currently using 2 open style pans and one enclosed, so 3 total.

My one cat recently started having major behavioral issues and we didn't know what to do. After taking him to the vet she suggested more litter boxes ( we used only one) and an pheromone wall outlet thingy for our room so he would stop pissing on our blanket.

The changes did help and he has stopped.

Downside is both cats have taken a liking to the litter box in my office. LOL

I have always been told by the vet to have one more box than there are cats. It helps.

Also used those pheremone things, and it stopped the one cat from spraying. Well worth the cost.

About spraying... a couple years back my wife got me this amazing down stay puff marsh mellow man jacket, it was awesome. Had it for all of maybe 3 weeks until my cat found it on the chair, he caressed it into a bowl shape and then sprayed on it. It sat for a few hours until full absorbed.

After multiple washes, dry cleaning etc it still had that faint smell. Ill be honest, I started to wear it. The picture below is how my first night went

It was soooo stank.

We have one problem cat (adopted an older one that may have been abused), doc found no evidence of crystals or UTI or anything. If you find the multiple boxes and feliway don't last long term, our vet prescribed some anti-anxiety medication that we've found to be super effective. The best part is we were able to taper her off of it and she goes several months in a row now without issues. She also gets 3 litter boxes to herself lined with sheets of newspaper on top and litter below. Sigh.

The other cats use a couple Booda domes, and besides a little tracking, no issues. Also, just realized we have 5 litter boxes. +1 sigh.
