Default Losers on ebay

I'm having an issue with a guy that bought a jeep wrangler targa top storage cover from me and now he's threatening negative feedback.

He sent me a email at 10pm last night

Joe,

I received the item today. It looks like it is missing the strap that goes around the headrests. Can you please send it to me?

Thanks

Then another one at 8am today

Anything on that strap?

Your ******* kidding me right? You can even give me time to wake the **** up and have a minute to think?

I called my buddy I sold the targa top for and asked him about the strap. He said he never used one, and if it came with one he doesn't have it. I didnt remember seeing one, so I went back through the auction to check. No strap pictured or mentioned. It says it goes behind the seat with headrest attachments, but that's just basic info of the description I pulled from quadratec. Only the storage bag itself is pictured and mentioned in my listing.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMESOX%3AIT

So I wrote back to him

I just got your message last night around 10pm, this was the soonest I could get back to you regarding your question.

I called the guy that I'm selling the jeep parts for just now and he said he never used a strap with the cover. I have no first hand experience with the cover, so I wasn't sure myself. I checked the pictures and information I had in the listing and it doesn't say anything about a strap. Whether the cover came with it new or its an accessory, it wasn't included in the auction.

Thanks, Joe-

Then, he sends me this **** (making sure he copied and pasted from my auction)

Joe,

The strap is sold with the cover. In order to attach the cover to the headrests (as you say in your listing) you need the strap.

Description:

Storage Bag has 2 compartments to store the Hardtop Removable Freedom Top panels. This bag helps to protect the panels, fits behind the rear seat with headrest attachments.
This MOPAR storage bag is in EXCELLENT used condition!! Lightly used!!

Can you please check again for who you were selling it for? Not sure how I will be able to leave positive feedback when I’m going to have to go pay to have one made.

Gene

He's really going to be a **** over a ******* strap? lol

I'll have one made? Get the **** out of here loser. Send me the damn thing back and I'll re-list it, maybe even sell it for more. Just pay the return shipping and get out of my life you queer (although that's what I'd love to say, its not what I wrote).

I sent back this

Gene,

The cover was sold as "excellent used condition", as is, what you see pictured is what you get. Check my feedback to see that I do not mislead, nor misrepresent any item I list for sale. You got the item exactly as described and pictured, that's it. Not to mention I had it to you in a matter of days. I am a good seller, negative feedback is not part of how I do business on ebay. So rather than threaten me with negative feedback, you can simply ask to return the item for a full refund. Of course I would expect you to pay return shipping, seeing that the item is exactly as described.

The guy I'm selling the jeep parts for is a buddy of mine from down at our shop complex. I called him before I wrote you regarding the strap and he said he never used one, and didn't have one. Thus, why you don't see it pictured or mentioned.

The text you copied from my listing is direct from the manufacturer website. If you had any questions regarding this strap or the auction in general, you should have asked before you bid.

Let me know what you'd like to do.

Thanks, Joe-

I have 7 years of 100% positive feedback bitch. Don't threaten me with a negative over a $40 item concerning a $2 strap you ****.

I am a good seller and I hate when a loser buyer pops up out of nowhere. Last time I had a issue was with the guitar I sold for $3600, some of you might remember that thread. That guy was a trip. Thankfully I won that case.

Sorry, this is long as ****. I just wanted to rant.

Been there done that, this breed of buyer sucks.

It's all about unrealistic expectations. Some people want the security of buying new from a storefront, but at used prices, and yet they are unwilling to do their homework, or ask questions about what later becomes a huge concern for them.

Unlike a storefront, your job is not to manufacture or source a product, and ensure customer satisfaction. Second hand sales consist of their obligation to pay, and your obligation to provide the item as described. It ends there.

I'd say this is more or less the way selling on eBay has been headed over the last few years. And it's not to the advantage of the seller. It used to be the buyers' responsibility to ask questions and then buy. Not anymore. Add to that the increase in fees and it's almost more of a PITA than it's worth. I used to sell a ton of stuff there and now maybe two or three things at most. Basically if the buyer doesn't like whatever they buy from you, you're guilty until proven innocent- and even then you may lose.

had a little ***** leave me a negitive over a 4.00 part. won it on friday asked sat if it was shipped leaves neg monday saying in never responded to him and never sent the part.
he was a ***** from the get go he disputed it paypal.
so he gets the part on that wendsday had to type in the tracking number to paypal to prove he got it. later it was removed after his account was banned for shady dealings. little asshat was 17.
i found dealing with ebay it's all about what your selling dsm honda nissan parts brings out the crooked little *****. but when i deal with harley beetle older muscle car parts i never have a problem at all.
it's not ebay itself it's the ******* retards that use it.

I used to love the policy where i wouldn't get my money unless the buyer wrote back to ebay saying they got the part. that was genius.

The fees have gone out of control, that's for sure. They saw that people were making good money off ebay, so they started jacking up their fees. Luckily, once I sell an item for someone, I pull the fees that it cost me to list it before I hand them any cash. So its not hurting me directly, but giving my customers less profit.

Generally people have been easy to work with. I list everything best I can with plenty of pictures. I specifically state on my auctions "feel free to ******* contact me" and will answer back emails usually within the hour. I cant help it if some loser bitch bids on a item, then gets it and has questions. Sorry, doesn't work like that.

The automotive crowd is BY FAR the best to deal with so far. The electronics department is by far the worst. I've had 2 issues with electronics in the past year. You know the story, it was working when I shipped it, now he has it and its broke.

I call ebay regularly to keep in touch regarding my account. They still have me on suspension as a powerseller, which hurts me cause the 20% discount I was earning on fees was extra profit for me. First it was 6 months, then after 6 months was up and I called it turned into a year. They said to write an email to the powerseller department explaining everything, I just haven't got to it yet.

Just got this back from him.

Wow! Blame the buyer...then make him pay for sending the
item back when item was not complete. Forget it! Not looking
to lose 25 dollars due to shipping. I'll keep it.

The ****** fees kill me. Its like 10% ro sell anything if you count paypal. Just remember if they threaten you with negative feedback you can do the same, then dispute yours.

Sellers can no longer leave buyers negative feedback. Its ridiculous. I usually don't have a problem cause I'm an honest guy and I try to take care of my customers. But....every once and awhile I find a piece of ****.

I wrote back to this guy, kept it cool, and sent him back $10. Its not worth getting a negative and dealing with the bs from ebay to dispute it. $10, its done, **** him.

Its crazy. I shipped the guy the part crazy fast, like 3 days from end of auction he had it fast. Then its nothing but complaints and games.

Hopefully the other dozen packages I shipped out the other day have better people on the other end.

LOL

I hate caving in, but sometimes losing the money is easier than the stress, anger and time.

Wow, nice way to reinforce his terrible behavior. Now he'll be sure to keep being a ****.

Edit: I mean, I understand and all, but damn that totally sets him up to keep acting like that.

Hey man, it was really in my best interest to just send him back $10 to keep the peace. Hopefully he takes the advice I gave him and he asks questions before he bids.

Ok, so now I have 2 issues with the same lot of Jeep stuff I was selling (looks like Jeep owners are ******* whiny queers just like I've heard).

So please please please, tell me what you see in this auction (regarding the condition of this mat in the pictures). I want some unbiased opinions before I say what the guys problem is.
