After seeing the two recent Miata efforts and that AE86 in Corpus I've decided I'd like to tackle this project someday.

The smaller displacement 4 valve per cylinder motor seems more in character with the Miata.

The 1uzfe has always been one of my favorite motors. I'm pretty sure that one of, if not THE fastest 2nd gen RX7 is powered by a twin turbo 1uz...

I'm all talk....I'd never do a motor swap in my car as much as I say I would....I mean:

1) If you want gobs and gobs of power, the miata is not exactly the chassis to put it in.

2) If you took the money that it would take to successfully pull off the swap, you could build one obnoxious car with the stock motor.

Realistically if I could get my car to the reliable 300 whp range I'd be more than happy....thats more than enough power for the public roads I drive on 99% of the time....****, I can't imagine that I'm that far off now

On the flare front...don't playa hate, congratulate!

I still say a turbo'd honda KA motor swap would be nice. The stock motor can take 400+ hp pretty easily. Just need a rwd tranny to mate up to it.
