This is now sitting in my yard. I figured you gear heads would enjoy seeing it. I hardly know anything about the engine (I have some info on the web page listed below) but will start some detective work soon.

What was it used for?

That's hella interesting. Call them up and tell them you have the only other one and see if they will buy it for a small fortune.

Whats the max RPM it ran at to pull 7 tons? Bore x stroke?

No idea. I did get to see a 41,000 CI engine this weekend. Pretty neat...

Looks like a 4 cyl diesel. I would imagine they incorporated a dry sump system to allow lubrication at that angle. Pics of individual components.

I would put it in my living room with a sheet of lexan over it and use it as a coffee table.
